So I mean like say I catch a wild pokemon from Liquid Crystal and trade it to my legit emearld card then send him to diamond and pearl then black and white 2 for online battling. Is this frowned upon?
For previous generations I'm not sure how easy it was to get good IVed Pokemon w/o an external program (PokeSav as mentioned), but now that 6th Gen introduced new breeding mechanics that make things easier, I'd personally say it is frowned upon.
If only caught in that game, that's fine for me. As long as it has moves and stats I can get in a legitimate game, I feel fine transferring them over. HOWEVER, if they are not in my Pokedex in any game I own yet, I will not do it, I want to fill my dex without using any non-legit source.
