How exactly do you know how rare one of your cards are? I know the whole circle, diamond, star system. but do the numbers have any relevance to how rare your card is?

    just wondering....

    Thanks

I ran across a web-page that updated itself with the list of all Pokemon cards and how rare they are/what they are worth. (I'll keep an eye out for it).

Or you can have your cards evaluated at your local hobby shop.

honestly if you REALLY want to know how much a card is worth, look it up on ebay. the average price it's selling for will give you a good idea of how much it's true value is

ahh thanks, so those little number have nothing to do with anything lol.

i thought i had a crazy rare card cause it was 17/17 lmao

no, those have nothing to do with rarity, that just means that there are 17 cards in the set the card is in and that is number 17 out of the set. it just really used for checklist purposes. usually the lower numbers are the rare ones in the set 1/100 2/100 for example but it's not set in stone
