How do you like to play SSBM?

I am a fan of most hack n slash games, so it is only natural that I go either Link or Roy and kick some serious SSBM butt! Whenever I have friends around, there is a rule that I am not allowed to go Link or Roy, because when I go them there is a 9/10 chance that I will win because my friends aren't very good at the game
 
just curious, what's the most anyone has ever got on cruel melee? I got 10 with pikachu just using thunder(down+B).
 
I've got 8 on Cruel Melee, using Roy's Up + B attack. My mate also has 8 using Jigglypuff's Rest (Down+B).

Does anyone have the Celebi trophy? I'm nearly there!
 
How do you get the celibi trophy? Isn't that when you first get celibi out of a pokeball?
 
aksualy no you just randomly find him once in a pokeball but the easiest way to get celibie out of a pokeball is in levent match *legendary pokemon * and i got 10 k.o.s in crule mode and got a trophie thing. :)
 
What I meant was don't you recieve the celibi trophy when celibi first comes out of the pokeball, like at the end of that match? If not than how did I get it?
 
hmm...I've heard the same thing for both the Mew and Celebi trophies...something about getting the trophy after seeing them from a pok?ball for the first time. But I've thrown at least three pok?balls so far with Mew inside, and I still don't got a Mew trophy...

What's your best character to play as? I'm best with Donkey Kong. He's the only character that I can beat a lv9 CP with...I am working on building my adeptness with Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Kirby...

BTW, according to the Marth/Roy trophies, their parent game, Fire Emblem, is released in Japan only, but I saw an English copy of it at GameStop today...what's up with that?

Yeah, but that FE game doesn't have Marth or Roy staring in it. Thats the new (yet not so new) FE game that was released here in North America a while back.
 
I now have 290 trophies, so I have them all!!

Anyway, the character I play the most with is Link, cos he has a nice mixture of ranged and close up attacks. I've been using Roy a lot recently, and trying to master Pichu. Still can't get any KOs with Pichu at L8, though I can survive for a lot longer than before.

EDIT: How to get Celebi trophy.

First of all, you need to have achieves all the Bonuses. That's the things like Bird of Prey, Home Run King and Giga Bowser KO. You need to have done all 249 of them at least once (not counting Celebi Catcher). Next thing you need to do is unlock the Score Counter, by performing 5000 or more KOs in versus mode (not on Tournament or any of the Special Melee's, just normal Melee). It will say in the Misc. Bonuses section how many KOs you have.

After this is all done, you can find Celebi in a Pokeball. Seeing her for the first time gives you the Celebi trophy, and the Celebi Catcher bonus, also unlocking the Diskun trophy as well.

I don't bother much with trophies. None of my friends can beat me when I use Falco with no items. I jump a lot. I AM THE KING OF BOMB-OMBS. I've been using Samus recently and she's very good. Not exactly fast but her speed is like Falco's. So good enough.
 
Falco is the Skarmory of SSBM, just as an annoying a birdy to fight ;-)
 
~How is Falco the Evil Bird of SSBM? Sure...just because he's the only bird you compare him to Skarmory. Wonder which one will be the Blissey of SSBM?~
 
it must be the legendary monster named Giga bowser !
 
well...this is SSB the original but it works in SSBM :P
my friends usually go infinite...regular melee only bombs :P
