How do YOU make decisions?

I don't think about it till the last moment and then I rush into it.

Err... I am (or at least, I like to think I am) a rather laid-back, carefree type of person, so for non-life-threatening decisions that have evenly matched pros and cons, I like to flip a coin. When I was little, I always liked to eenie, meenie, miney, mo, but my experiences tell me that, out of a total of two choices, and starting on the first choice, the result of an eenie-meenie-miney-mo (how are you supposed to spell it?) is always the second choice, or vice versa (if you start on the second choice, the result will be the first choice). ^~^

We all know that when we become an individual, we will have to start making decisions on our own. Making decisions is a part of our lives. Experts have actually come up with a step-by-step decision-making process:

First, you need to identify the situation you're in or the issue. You will then need to decide if you even want to handle it. Next, break down any choices that are available to you. Then, find out how you will take action on your choices. You can either get rid of some available alternatives you to or the way how people usually select their choice, think over how the factors involved, or just pick whatever choice that seems better than the others.

Later on evaluate the results of the decision you just made. This can help you make better decisions in the future. Better decisions come along with greater benefits, and we all learn to make the best decisions after making the worst ones unfortunately.

Yeah, I'd agree with that process, one of the best I've seen when it comes to making difficult decisions.

Skittles also made some pretty good points in her post. Prioritizing has been a problem for me for as far as I can remember. As we grow older, we usually get better at it, and I definitely feel I'm getting better at it.

Another important thing I consider when making decisions, is how it'll affect other people and other things happening in my life.

NessStar3000 - Yeah, other people are just as important involving the choice you make, but it's so hard to include the people who aren't really your friends. But I still feel just as bad.

Michii - "Is it worth it?" That really got me thinking. It'll be popping into my head for my next decision. I usually just think about the then and there for trivial things, but for tougher choices, I can imagine how it's useful. I usually just think about how things will affect me long-term. I didn't realize that the next few weeks or months are just as important.

benji - NOOO! You just spoiled eenie meenie miney mo! Now I can't use it! *sniff*

Degenerate - I'll try to think more about that. I hardly ever think of how one choice effects other events in my life.
