Question: How do you post a poll?

I tried to post a poll, I made sure to click "submit thread" under "Additional options" box and not under the "Post new Thread" box. I know it would seem like I didn't, but I very specifically remember consciously choosing the lower submit button.

Same goes for clicking "yes, post a poll with this thread" and entering the number of options for the poll. It didn't take me to the poll editing page however.

Is there anything else I missed?

Did you enter any sort of text into the message box on the new post page? I know it won't let you create a poll when you leave the post message area empty or below the minimum character limit.

Also did you try to repost your poll after the first time failed incase something had been overlooked, vB had a hiccup, etc?

Yes, my post message was posted normally.

As a result, it wouldn't let me try to repost.

I have a question. Can you edit a thread (made by you) so that it can have a poll? i made a thread but forgot to put a poll on it, but now I cant figure out how to make it have a poll

Unfortunately, you cannot edit a poll into your thread. :(

Sydian, he meant that he forgot to put a poll and wants to put a poll now.

Noltron, click on Thread Tools option atop the thread and you can put a poll from there.
