How do i think the world will end...

1# a moon with a giant face will crash into Earth after we were unable to stop it for 3 days before a special carnival, due to an evil mask.

2# the sun will engulf most of the planets including the Earth leading to our demise.

But the sun isn't the type of star that turns into a black hole, it's the type that will turn into a white dwarf and then a black dwarf, and just be a floating rock. If it was gonna turn into a red supergiant, and then a supernova, then it would. But It's not gonna be a red supergiant or supernova, it'll be a red giant, then white dwarf.

~~ heh ^^; that's what my astronomy textbooks say, anyway ^^;; so.. I don't think the world will be swallowed.. and I don't think we can predict the end of the world, because people have been predicting for centuries, and it hasn't happened yet. So I don't think we can really find out 100%

Im going to start this off then this is what I think:
God is gonna punish everyone because they dont know how to be good anymore so he sends a whole bunch of bad stuff down upon us and then at the end he will send jesus down and take his people to a new world and the rest will suffer until they repent of their sins and start obeying god.

personally, I'm still making up my mind of which gods/god exists, but if God is the god that really does exist, then he wont even have to do that, we do bad things to us ourselves. All of the bad people(which is most of us)can go to He** and be tortured for all eternity. If it's the greek/roman gods then Hades(or the roman name)will let the few good people live on that one great place and the really really bad people live in his clothes(I learned that in the percy jackson series), the other people will get a proper punishment when they die.

well, maybe the humans will die out, but that doesn't mean our decendants will die out(look at the fish, we're not fish anymore, but we were), so the human race WILL die out, just as the dinosaurs, but that will be because we will have evolved and the ones who failed to evolve will die

They say that in 5 Billion Years that the Sun will shrink, and the Earth will die. Of course, that's a prediction. It may not happen. People predict Severe T-storms all the time and we don't get anything. XD

I don't think humans will die out in the near future. We may live long enough to evolve into an entirely new species. Human's would technically be extinct, but it wouldn't be necessarily a bad thing.

As it says in the Bible, Jesus will come to judge the world for their sins on Judgment Day. Only God knows when that will be.
Also, this is completely the answer to how the world is going to end because after Jesus comes, he takes all the good people up to him in Heaven, and the Earth will be fail.

yah, us humans make so many stupid mistakes and choices that we aren't even brave enough to admit it. Someone needs to shout out to the world and tell them that they're so stupid that they won't admit it, and only a stupid person wouldn't admit they were stupid.

The earth will end, as it's been stated before, when the sun engulfs it. There is no getting past that.
However, mankind as we know it will die off in a nuclear war or due to some other weapon of mass destruction. This doesn't mean that the human race will die out, heaven's no. It will just have to adapt to it's new (destroyed) environment, creating what will essentially be a new species. ;D

if Jesus and God are real, then they will only save the people that they see good in. The best people will be pampered, while the not so good people, but still good people, will just be given a life in Heaven a bit better than their's was

I believe the sun will engulf this planet due to its natural life span, but if you mean world as in Humanity, I can say it will be long gone by then, whether "gone" means just away from the planet or completely dead is up to its choices and the minds of individuals^^

Yah, we create awesome things, but animals are much MUCH better because they don't create stupid things like this computer that makes me addicted or doctors with no education(you should hear my mom's story)and their little blood tests that don't see anything(sorry if anyone who reads this knows or is a doctor, but out of all the doctors that I've gone to, only one has ever actually helped me with my body's problems was the one who made it possible for me to breath through my nose. I've taken blood test after blood test and doctors alway say "oh, theres nothing wrong with your blood" or "your not allergic to anything" then my mom suggest that we go to another doctor so I can take MORE blood tests that say nothing is wrong with me! Something is DEFINENTALLY wrong with the doctors around where I live!)

well, in a about 4 billion years, our planet is going to be incinerated by the sun.
and all our decendants are going to burn in a horrible, terrible, and morbid manner.
That is, unless we find another planet with liveable standards and we all get transported there before the sun gets earth.
and you know, we'll make peace with the aliens,
and we'll be like a... world of peace.
and then the process starts over again, only to meet new aliens.
meanwhile while we are doing that, the earth is firewood for the sun.

Doesn't mention what the temperature of other planets would be though.

Mars is about the same distance from Earth as we are from the Sun. So even if the sun made temperatures unbearable, the sun would probably be too bright.

Also, for anyone who believes that 2012 thing marking the end of the world, remember that the Mayans didn't even predict the end of their OWN civilization.

to Miss Cow: yes, the black hole theory is possible, but for a black hole to engulf our solar system would take about the saame time as the sun expiring, so it's pretty much the same thing, especially since a black hole isn't a "door" to another dimension, it's jsut a localized collection of gravity that pulls everything in and expels it in the form of cosmic energy^^

I agree with this post, although the Mayans did not predict their own end, they did predict 911 and they were dead on, time and everything! There have been millions of death dates, but none have come true. 2012 will just go by quick and smooth I reckon! I also reckon that our end will be by the sun! God's end is fairly stupid, as if God loved us as much as Jesus said he did, why would he want to kill something he created?

You live up to your name. The Ozone layer prevents damaging UV rays reaching the earth and has nothing to do with reducing heat.

Mayans did not predict their own end, they did predict 911 and they were dead on, time and everything! There have been millions of death dates, but none have come true.

Mayans didn't predict 9/11 or anything else accurately for that matter, go and do some research. And then explain how these 'predictions' are actually determined.

Frankly, there have been hundreds of events which were more catastrophic than 9/11, such as world wars, plagues & natural disasters - why had Mayan's never predicted these? Or why do stupid predictions only become fulfilled in hindsight?
Claiming that a twisted supernatural belief in Mayan God's birthdates could have been able to forsee any of these, is not only ignorant but disrespectful for the lives that had been lost.

Penn & Teller 'Bushlit' did an episode on End of the World, watching it could teach you people something. As could reading Wikipedia or a couple of science books.
