4th Gen How does Chaining work for you?

    my best efforts in a chain was 27 Minun... then 23 Pikachu and 20 Slowpoke... it's all of a sudden getting near impossible for a higher chain...

    How is the Pokeradar treating you lately?
     
    very lucky actually, I ran into a shiny Gligar on my second try on Sunday

    Highest is 17 with Nidoran male... Really want a blue nidoran male. D:
    I use repels and walk to the farthest patch of grass that rustles the same way it did as the first one. One rustle has white specks (means its a rarer pokemon) and the other is the plain old grass shake. White/blue stars mean it's shiny... Haven't seen that yet. D:
     
    My highest is 11 Swellow, not really impressive.
     
    The highest I was able to get was 20 Budew.. then some stupid Shinx can along and ruined it

    I haven't really tried to chain anything since then.
     
    I tried Growlithe today... got 23 and the next few times I got to 21 before other Pokemon broke my chains... I think I'm getting better.
     
    30 bidoof not that I wanted a shiny bidoof but meh...
     
    at least you were able to get a pretty high chain count! I might try Growlithe again tomorrow... I dunno why but I want a shiny Growlithe.

    On another note, where is the best place to get money? the Elite four is good, but I think there are some other trainers that give a decent amount of money out, I have Luck Incense and Amulet Coin so I'm ready to get more money... I want 999 Max Repels >.>
     
    Hell, I don't even know how to USE the Pokeradar.

    Could somebody please explain this to a layman?

    Well, my highest was 36 ponyta's!! It was so lame how I lost it, :( But yeah remember keep at it, you'll master it soon enough, It get's really easy soon.

    1st: 36

    2nd: 25

    3rd: 22

    Pretty good no?
     
    That's awesome....I've yet to encounter any shinies -_- But I did find a shiny magikarp while I got bored of using pokeradar

    I believe that Super Repels are more of a good "deal." But yeah, look for trainers to battle. Go south of Hearthome and near the Pokemon Mansion are two rich kids w/ one pokemon each, Luxio and Lopunny IIRC. Attach amulet coin and whoop 'em good for an hour.
    I chained today about 10 nidoran male... And got poisoned. D: Tried Surskit and Houndoom a bit too. Look on Youtube for a pokeradar guide since it helps so you'll know what the shiny sparkle looks like.

    They have bad quality that's why I got yellow confused with white so much -_-
     
    Hey Paranoia, I think I kinda accidentally deleted your PM and I never got to read it. I apologize, but could you send me one again? Or could someone tell me how here? Do I have to like... click something, or do I just look for grass to wiggle or what's going on? lol
     
    I'm really mad about chaining... I was chaining the common Zubat... and a FREAKING Bibarel decides to show her ugly mug during my chain... I had like 25 Zubats chained and then I go off to the grass that could not possibly not have a Zubat in it and it's... A FREAKING BIBAREL... I swear if you're not looking for a freaking Bibarel your chain will be destroyed during your search...

    When I chain Growlithe it's Shinx, Sentret,and the commoners (bidoofus and starly), when I chain Slowpoke it's Buizel and Pachirisu... when I chain Zubat, it's freaking Bibarel... I swear... it's impossible for me to chain anything higher than 27...
