4th Gen How does Mystery Gift work?

I know it's a noobish question but I hadn't really played any Pokemon games since RBY. >.> Don't look at me like that lol. I'm just not sure how it works, is it just for events or do friends just give each other random gifts. Someone please explain it to me. Thanks. ^^;

it's for wi-fi events, you just choose to receive from wi-fi and it scans for wi-fi events.

Right on the front page of your game, they'll be some menus like:

• Continue Gameplay
• Settings
• Connect Pokewalker
• Conect to Wii
• Mystery Gift

Or something like that. Then you go on Mystery Gift and go on ' Get Gift VIA Wi-Fi Connection and It will search.. In a couple of day there will be an event where you can download a new pokewalker course which you can catch Pikachus with Surf and Fly by doing this..

So if someone misses an event you can give them the gift after it's ended? Since it says receive from friends.

I guess so, Never really tried.. Since most of my friends don't even like Pokemon and the people that I do know that do like it already got to the Events anyway xD

Some events let you share the Wonder Cards, I think.
