How has anime impacted your life?

I believe for me, without anime I wouldn't be interested in art in the first place. I mean, even though I'm more interested in video gaming and Homestuck now, liking anime was my first step for liking art.

It also indirectly led me to get to meet and be friends with a bunch of people on the internet. We all liked Pokemon Mystery Dungeon at one point, and if I hadn't watched the Pokemon anime again (and thus reignited my love for the Pokemon franchise), I wouldn't have known what PMD was.

Fullmetal Alchemist has changed my life mostly
The story is really amazing to be fully honest.
It taught me that me many things during my life, I was in a bad state when I began watching it and it really has touched me so has Clannad, Angel Beats, and others but Anime has always inspired me for my writing and it has made me a better writer :)

It basically gave birth to my imagination all those years ago and still remains a pretty big part of my life interest wise.

I agree; Animes gave me inspiration for my stories, starting with Cat's Eye back when I was 5 or 6 years old (part got cancelled by now, because too much "because." because I was a child and all), and still does; newest is Soul Eater. They often inspire me for character designs and my corresponding characters often have similiar personalities to start with, even if they change with the time and development. For example, the character Ayutac (which my nick comes from, obviously) was inspired by Takuya from Digimon Season 4 and you will notice his name is a play on Takuya. Appearence assembles, so I chose Takuya as avatar. To begin, they shared te same attitude. But time changes and Ayutac got cold in his heart. Oh, and he became immortal by turning himself into a cyborg. Durr.

I'm sad and proud at the same time to say that Anime affected my life quite a bit.
In the first 4 years of my anime fandom it was limited to Pokémon and Beyblade. My world was quite small, since all I did on the internet was look up information and pictures (God, the pictures... folders filled. |D) with the "excuse" that I'd use them for art references. Because that was also the time when my art started taking form. I have been drawing as long as I can remember, but for the first time I started drawing. I learned to look, see details, experiment.
But it wasn't until I was 14-15 that I started to get into the whole Forum bussiness... And that's when anime really opened my world. I got to know people from everywhere in the world (some of which are still good friends) and I learned so many things from eveywhere in the world.
Watching Anime (and playing the Pokémon games before that) has been a great boost to my knowledge of English...
My art has been constantly evolving through Anime, through deviantArt, and so much more...

But at the same time I was always the odd one with little social life... *shrugs* But I have some great friends (both on and off line) who don't mind who I am. \o/
