    Hey PC and HeartGold/SoulSilver lovers.
In my HeartGold game I have created a team that I am really happy with, it had provided me with all 16 badges, 2 Elite 4 victories (Original and Rematch Battles) and 1 Win against Red. Even though my team has come this far; I would like to know if it is a good team or a not so- good team.

Please, I don't want comments like this:
"OMG!! Itz liek so gooood woow! 123/!0"
It's not constructive and isn't very helpful, in fact it isn't helpful at all.

Just a note; I am still working on some teams and I am tossing and turning on whether or not I should start competing in competitive battling or not. I think I won't.
So have fun and be constructive.

    Primary Team:

Yes I know, my team is incredibly vulnerable to Ice types. But I do have some tricks up my sleeves to deal with them.

    "image removed"
    Typhlosion Level 78:
    - Flamethrower
    - Focusblast
    - Sunny Day
    - Blast Burn.

    *pokemonelite2000 image removed*
    Feraligatr Level 65:
    - Ice Punch
    - Surf
    - Hydroblast
    - Superpower

    *pokemonelite2000 image removed*
    Meganium Level 65:
    - Reflect
    - Toxic
    - Synthesis
    - Energyball

    "image removed"
    Pigeot Level 60:
    - Mirror Move
    - Fly
    - Secret Power
    - Protect

    *pokemonelite2000 image removed*
    Dragonite Level 72:
    - Dragon Dance
    - Thunderpunch
    - Firepunch
    - Outrage

    *pokemonelite2000 image removed*
    Ryhprerior Level 68:
    - Earthquake
    - Hammer Arm
    - StoneEdge
    - Rock Wrecker

Feraligatr shouldn't be armed with two Water-type Special attacks. Waterfall can take over the work of both Surf and "Hydroblast" (Hydro Cannon?). Crunch could work as a filler.

And why did Rhyperior have both Stone Edge and Rock Wrecker? I don't know which one to change, but having both is unneeded.

Blast Burn is also kinda unneeded when Typhlosion already have Flamethrower (Blast Burn's total BP is 225 after STAB. But you need to recharge the turn after. Flamethrower's BP is 142.5 after STAB but you can use it twice in a row, which means 285 BP after two turns. 60 higher than what Blast Burn can do in two turns). I dunno what to use, though. Since you already have all the weakness covered with Solarbeam.

because this isn't a competetive team, you won't need SR/Spikes support, as most players will have less than 6 pokemon. but, like DMW said, you should NEVER have two moves of the same type and same Atk/Def property (special/physical) on the one pokemon. it is an absolute no-no.

I suggest changing Hydoblast (cannon?) to Waterfall, as that will add a physical STAB move, as well as giving you another HM (it may not be a travel team, but it helps)
also, Rock Wrecker may be Rhypherior's Signature move, but like DMW said, you have to recharge afterwards, so it shouldn't be there. replace it with Megahorn, as that gives youa Bug-type move, which will help you against Psychic types (which you have nothing to beat as of yet)
continuing with Rhyperior, swap Stone edge with either Rock slide or Rock Blast. Rock slide has a much better Accuracy, and in a double battle, hits both opponents. Rock blast, however, has the potential to do 167.5 power. of course, it could only do 75, but it's a gamble either way.

If Typhlosion is going to have Sunny day, why not give Meganium Solarbeam? Sunny Day and Solarbeam is a very common combination, even in in-game play, as it doubles your power.

that's all I can think of!

Thankyou, I actually meant Hydro Pump. XD; I see where you are coming from here, I did have trouble with Blast Burn since it did have the side effect of recharging and because I noticed that Flamethrower was a perfect move for Typhlosion I was tossing and turning to whether or not I should get rid of Blast Burn altogether.

I was thinking of teaching Meganium solarbeam but I battled the trainer from Viridian City's Battle House's Meganium and it was super tough against even my Typhlosion; with the moves I have on mine currently. But no, I'll go with your advice and I'll switch to Solarbeam since I couldn't notice that Typhlosion and Meganium can become one heck of a combo.

Far out this team is great i love the 3 starters man awesome.
You are too kind, any advice? This isn't exactly constructive since it's only complementing the pokemon I have on my team and the fact that I have all three starters. Thankyou for the compliment though, it;s much appreciated. :3

Edit:: Sorry, my quoting is playing up for some reason! D:<

I may not be an expert on these pokemon but I can offer a little experience. I agree on the blast burn, it's more of a hail mary move than anything. As for Magnum, the one in the trainer house could take down any of my pokemon with a leech seed, toxic, protect combo: it seeded me, toxic'd me and then spammed protect til my pokemon just fainted. and that included my flareon this game and my typlosion and my entei in previous games.

Replace Blast Burn with Eruption on Typh. Works a lot better. Alternatively, you could give him Solar Beam due to the Sunny Day boost.

Replace Surf for Waterfall on Feraligatr. Hydro Pump should be taken out for Crunch, as it works for coverage. Attach him a White Herb to help with Superpower's Atk. drop.

Meganium is OK. Energy Ball is well chosen, as it's supposed to stall.

On Pidgeot, try this set (I use it and it works well) :

    Fly
    U-Turn
Return (if it has max happiness on you)
    [up t you]

Pidgeot isn't really good overall, but it's alright to use with that set. Keep in mind the STAB and U-Turn. That's basic.

DD set in game, eh ? Well, it's kinda tricky to use. Attach a Lum Berry for the confusion after Outraging.

Why both Stone Edge and Rock Wrecker ? I'd say replace one of them for Fire Punch. It's all up to you, but I'd suggest Stone Edge to be able to attack in a row.

I hope this helps. It's needed to have sweepers in-game, but one wall (like your Meganium) can work.
