this could apply both to 'the game' & 'the Anime' but I am morely meaning it to the game, how long after each generation's release, where you interested in the latest?

for me, I have always been a late bloomer with Pokemon, the original through Gen4, usually 6-10 months after everybody else was WAY into it, I got interested, and then was just starting, but as for Black/White (Gen5), I was along with the crowd, ever since Reshiram was introduced, I wanted Black because of Reshiram, so I kinda have Reshiram to thank here, for starting with everyone else with Black/White, otherwise the same pattern may have continued...

Since I look at the Japanese coverage of the Pokemon games and anime, I am an early bloomer I guess because it takes me a good 1-3 weeks to get really into it. I'm guessing I am like that because I am in love with Pokemon. I am glad for Pokemon Black and White both games and anime. But for the anime, it took me 3 weeks and the new generation, it took a week

Depends on the game. For D/P/Pt and FR/LG, I was interested as soon as I heard about them from Japan. As far as HG/SS and B/W, I was initially uninterested, and it took almost up to release day in the US before I decided I wanted them.

Depending on the game's playstyle, I could be interested in the game ranging between a couple days to a couple months.

I was interest from the time they showed the Zoroark Silhouette on Pokemon Sunday last April. I was ready for a new generation around the end 09 to the beginning of 10. I was really hoping they would release some info on it but HGSS was a good way to entertain myself for awhile.

I was a pretty late bloomer when it game to the original games; I didn't get Blue or Crystal until after I had Pokémon Ruby. Ruby was the first game I had, as you could probably tell, and I had gotten that on the same year it was released in the US, but on Christmas. So, you could say I was also quite a few months behind getting that too. I can't remember when I got FireRed or LeafGreen, but it came some time after it's US release as well. Diamond was another game I didn't get until a year later after its release here. It's only with Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black, and White that I followed through from its Japanese coverage to its US release (which I purchased that very same day). All of which happened after I joined this site here.
