how many friends do you have that play pokemon with you

    i just started playing pokemon ccg again a month or so ago with my gf, we are playing exclusively with the new diamond and pearl cards and i really like them. i still have a lot of the old ones i had from back in the base set too but i just have those to collect. anyway we're the only people that play this game in my area i'd like more people to play with and play in tournaments but there aren't any, i was just wondering if the game is still popular at all where you are from. i'm from kentucky by the way.
     
    hahaha, not at all where i am, but i just started so i havnt looked at least no one at my school still plays:(

    The game isn't as popular down South as it is up North, if you're serious about competing, I'd suggest you get in to a traveling mind set hahaha.

    I say make a post on Craigslist and ask around your area who plays.
     
    None. Canada really doesn't have that much for Pokemon Events. Plus at 18, none of my friends are into Pokemon anymore.

    i'm not "serious about competing" well at least not in major tournaments, i'm just talking about small tournaments at hobby shops with like 8 people or something like that. my local store has tournaments for every ccg you can imagine but no pokemon even though they do sell the cards. people must still play the game because the booster boxes still go for over 100 dollars a box and packs are 3.99, which would be high for a dead card game

    by the way i'm 24 and my gf is 19 but i started playing when the game came out i guess i was 14 then. i still have friends that play ccgs but most of them moved on to yugioh magic or vs. or even the world of warcraft card game

    If that's the case, go to Go-Pokemon and become a tournament arranger. Set one up, and see how it goes.

    My friend Dave played with me before. that was not too long ago.

    But nobody who does it regularly.
     
    I don't know anyone that plays the card game, outside of the people at my local league.

    Anyway, you could always try the League locator on go-pokemon. There might be a league close by.
     
    I have no friends that play Pokémon with me. I'm a closet gamer when it comes to Pokémon. See - I was supposed to outgrow it many year's ago, but my inner child refused to let it go. Now I only play Pokémon in dark alleys and in the late hours of the night when no one else is awake.
     
    I play w/ my friend. I only use dp cards, but we can use ex and dp cards, plus any Basic Energy card. My brother collects but doesn't play and my sister wants to play but doesn't have enough cards.
     
    i played with 9 of my friends, so there's a total of 10 people who play pokemon in my area...
    although it's not a tournament, but it's enough to entertain us...

    Daymn might I just say you have a ****ing cool girlfriend.

    I'd Love to start again, I was really thinking about it a few weeks ago when I saw some people playing at a shopping center. I don't think my group of friends would mind, and I think some would Join in. People still love Pokemon Cards over here (Adelaide, South Australia) they just don't show it.
     
    Only one, and even he dosen't play too much, I would probably play more if I had more people to play with XD, any who, it's nice to have someone I guess...
     
    I just found out that my one friend who knows everything about playing Pokemon TCG doesn't even have enough cards to play! My new answer is 0. I am a lone collector.

    wow ur girlfriend? lucky... yea i just got my one friend. but it works.. even tho i always lose... still not sure why

    yeah I'm also in Canada and I just found out that one of my friends like pokemon and he thought I'd make fun of him but i didn't, and now he's giving me a whole buncha pokemon for trade, but besides him I don't know anybody else in my high school that still plays it except for this group of ppl who are kinda well, ppl who hate me for no apparent reason.
