Well.. I Sr'd about 10-20 times per play then gave since well I dont want to spend my life getting a shiny starter when I dont even know if when you look inside the pokeball without picking it, it will show shiny.

i tried to get one but i only SRed about 50 times and gave up. I really wanted a shiny totodile.

Sorry, having a life is more important then different color pixels.
There is another thread, the Official HGSS Shiny Pokémon Thread that discusses encountered and caught shinies. If anyone SR's for a Shiny Pokémon and finds one after an 'x' amount of times, they can talk about it over there. Other than that, no need for a thread like there really. :\
