Hi guys hope all are doing well,

I'm new to grade Pokémon cards.
I'm from London so I would like to grade them in gradegem.com, can someone help me with prices?

How much will cost me to grade for example Mew Black Star Promo #9 English version mint condition?

If someone can help me I will be very grateful.

    Many thanks

    It's not straightforward.

Firstly you have to decide which service level you want. For one card at the most basic level it's going to cost you £10 (it gets cheaper per card for more cards at a time). For that you send it in to Graded Gem (in a soft sleeve & toploader), they send it off to PSA and you get it back whenever it comes back (be warned; basic level is taking a LONG time at the moment - 12months?). Other options are £22.50 for Express (4-5 months) or £41.50 for Express+ (2-3 months). You can save 50p a card by submitting in a GradeFit semi-rigid instead of a toploader (because that's how PSA like them) and you can get Graded Gem to give you an opinion as to what grade your card is likely to achieve (or 'pregrade', as it's known) for an additional 50p per card.

However, at the end of the process there is also another (potential) cost: the 'value charge'. This is levied by PSA based on the value of your card once graded. Graded Gem will pay it for you to get it back, but you have to pay them before they'll release it (see here https://gradedgem.com/faqs/ ) , so if your (graded) card has a value of £200-500 you'll have to pay a further £10.50 or if it's £500-1500 it's a further £52 or if it's £1500 to £4000 it's a further £145.

    There you have it.
