    Yeah... The title says it..
I don't think you all train by the onixes and geodudes in oreburgh mine... Can someone explain to me how to train it fast... And not on low levels? (A)

what i do is breeding the pokemon i want with the moves i want and then level it up at day care without erasing the moves, then i go battle the pokemon that give the right EV. you can get 510 EV and max is 255 per stat. 4 EV is +1 for the stat.

    Sorry for my english ^^

the first 100 EVs in a stat you can get with vitamines.. after that it depens on the EVs you want to train where to train. check out my thread 'best spots for EV-training in D/P' on page 5, 6, 7 or 8 of this board

I go by type for where I train. I trained in the mine a little for Empoleon cause he can whip them all good. Rapidash was anywhere where there was snow(I'm still training there even at lv. 60 :o)

    that's not a good strategy for EV-training...

Why has no one recommended Pokerus and the Power Items yet?

It can really speed up EV training. First off, you only need 152 EVs due to vitamins, then you can get +4 EVs from a power item. If a pokemon gives one EV in the stat, that's a whopping 10 EV points per pokemon. Kill 15 of them, and you've gotten 250 EVs in the stat, then take off the power item, kill another, and bam, 252 EVs.

Attach macho brace/certian power item and pokerus, raise the pokemon to about level 10 with rare candies/daycare if it's freshly hatched, then start chaining weak Starlys or something with the pokeradar and you'll rack up many EV points fast. Even faster if you're battling Staravia so I suggest going to the Trophy Garden for EV training. Speed is from the two birds and Pichu/Pikachu, +2 Special attack from Roselia, and +2 Attack from Kricketune. That place is perfect for sweepers. Also, if you can clone, make two copies of the baby in case you might mess up.

use hp up carbos protein for the 1st 100

then give macho brace and pokerus

train at a location where only the pokemon you want appears

use the counter on the poketch to count how many you have defeated....

    that's what i do....

Does a Pokémon gain EVs if it is holding an EXP Share but doesn't battle?

Ok... I have one question left...

if you have all EV's and your not lvl 100... Why should you train further?

Once you have gotten the max of 510 EV points, that pokémon cannot benefit anymore from EV-training, therefore you don't have to EV-train further, and can focus on Exp. from then on.

Edit: oh, if what you meant was what was answered below, then n/m lol. Personally haven't started battling other people yet, so level settings are new to me.

Does a Pokémon gain EVs if it is holding an EXP Share but doesn't battle?

Yes, but the Exp. Share holding pokémon will not get bonus EVs from the holding item the fighting pokémon is holding. Meaning if the pokémon you use to fight is holding a Macho Bracer, and a pokémon in your party is holding Exp. Share, the fighting pokémon gains the double EVs, but the Exp. Share one doesn't.

On that note, if you want a pokémon to gain EVs faster without fighting, just send it out first while holding the Macho Bracer or Power item, then immediately withdraw to a pokémon that can actually handle it.

i guess im the only one getting this question: you shouldnt.. because in a multiplayer battle with caps on 50 or 100 it won't make a difference anymore.. only train them further for in game reasons

To make sure that your EVs are factored into your stats. If you just use Rare Candies from then on then they won't be figured in.

And the rest of it was answered already, so......yeah.

what the hell is a ev and i might be stupid for asking that but i dont care and i think i posted this like twice or three times or somthing i dont know srry if i hve i will delete them if i see them

Here's a question, is EV training worth it? Does it make a really big difference?

Depends. Do you call a stat difference of 63 in two different stats a "really big difference"?
