    • I'm gonna play Fire Red, but I wanna have female starter pokemon. Is there any easy way to get it, or have I try picking it as many times as I get female one?

    • Yup. The only thing you can do to increase your chances is saving in front of the Poke Ball and keep resetting until you get a female starter.

    (you can check if it's female as soon as you take it)

    This is gonna sound crazy, but I restarted as a femaqle, and I got a female Charmander. I have no idea if the trainers gender had anything to do with it... but it might

    • Such as other people have said before, save before you pick, and if it isn't a Female, reset and try again. Other than that, you can breed for a Female starter.
