[Scripting Question] How to give a custom battle introduction to an npc?

You know the introductory animation that plays before you fight your rival, with the two colored rectangles crashing together with the VS text?

Is there anything I need to add to give that to a different NPC?

Well, the wiki explains just how to do that here.
But to save you the trip, all you have to do is have these graphics

Graphics/Transitions/vsBarXXX.png
Graphics/Transitions/vsTrainerXXX.png

where XXX is the trainer type id.
Don't put 0s to make it three digits.

Erm...so I need to put the name of the trainer class my rival is as the XXXs? And then every time you battle a trainer of that type, there will be a vs animation?

Yep that's exactly it.
The example maps have a rival battle set up. The Rival id is 4, so the graphic is vsBar4 and vsTrainer4
You also need to have graphics for the players.
