I downloaded a torrent but can't open it with iTunes.

I was wondering how can you get to the songs?

You didn't specify what torrent program you used. Anyway, Itunes may prevent playing MP3 files which most songs are in. Apple like their own proprietary software for both songs, movies and shows so you first to get such software. Also, are you able to see the song in Itunes already? If not, then perhaps your question is how to transfer the song to your Itunes?
Lets assume that the song is already in your Ituens but that the situation is that you can't listen to the song - in that case you might want to google this

    "mp3 to itunes software"

    or, you can read here

A torrent isn't actually a music file. It is a file that tells your bittorrent program which people have that music file and downloads it from them, and in return offers it for download to other people. Two commonly used bittorrent programs are uTorrent and Vuze.

If you are asking about the file that your torrent program downloaded, you will need to specify what format it was in (.wav, .mp3, .flac, .ogg, .m4a are common ones).

The torrent isn't the music file itself. You need to open the torrent with a torrent client and then download the song through that.

If you are using uTorrent, you would right click on the torrent and click open containing folder (or for any other client open the folder you specified the torrent client to place downloaded content). Then you would just click and drag the .mp3 files to iTunes.

As said above, the .torrent file is not the music (.mp3) file itself.

I got the Torrent file from here:
    https://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthread.php?t=183931

And I downloaded it and it says its seeding, is that important? And then how do I extract all the mp3 files from it?
You should be able to right click it in your torrent program and click "show in explorer" or some similar option. You're actually prompted for where you want to save it when you first open the torrent with your bittorrent program, but you may not have noticed.

It doesn't say that, it says this:

    Spoiler:

Go to Bittorent, right click the torrent in question. Click "Open containing folder"

If this doesn't work re-download and try again because you did something wrong or didn't give enough info here.

I'm using uTorrent, if thats any help too, I'll try downloading it again.

Edit: I fully downloaded it, and its still basically the same. Its a .rar file (Or something like that) if it helps.

Download 7-zip and install it. Use it to open the .rar file. A RAR file is a container that holds other files, sometimes compressed.

Will that allow me to look at the .mp3 files? Or do I need to download something again? And thanks for the help.

If you have already downloaded the file through uTorrent, you shouldn't have to download anything again. Open the .rar file using 7-zip and drag the mp3 files somewhere where you can access them.

but one thing I have to remind everyone, the client itself is legal, but the process download program is illegal, but I still use it because its a great program! :D

I didn't know it was illegal to torrent Linux distros :(

Actually you're right and you're wrong. Sometimes artists and other people will allow some of their stuff to be download via torrents.

Just got everything done with, so this can be closed now.

    Thanks for the help everyone!
