How to remove or alter a menu function?

    Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how I could remove the 'release' function entirely from the menu in the boxes on Bill's PC in FireRed. I want to learn how to do this so that I could do it in virtually any other rom if I wanted to. I'm new to all of this, but I've basically gotten the farthest with Hex Maniac Advance, being able to change the specific text, but even if I NOP that data before and after that text, the function still works, it's just a blank entry in the menu. I've also tried with XSE, but no luck there as I don't seem to see any way to search for offsets. I tried to use the offset from HMA in XSE, but it's pulling up something else entirely. At this point, what could I do to just get this job done?

Reason: I started hosting a project that allows users to all control the game, and basically a ton of people just want to come in the middle of the night and release everything, so I have to keep manually rolling it back when I wake up.
