I got RBY on my 3DS just because I felt like some Gen 1-originating Pokemon, but while I was looking online about Pokemon Bank stuff, I couldn't find anything pertaining to Transfering in from Gen 1 VC. How is it done? All the Transfer apps seem to want a Gen 5/6 game cart.

1st Gen How to Transfer out of VC RBY?

You'll be able to send Gen 1 Pokemon to Gen 7 once Sun and Moon come out (and once a Bank update is released to accommodate the change), but for the time being, they're stuck in RBY. There is no way to send Pokemon from the gen 1 VC games to any of the other generations that are currently available (e.g., gen 6).
