4th Gen How would this make sense?

Instead of finishing my study I'm trying to 'see' all pokemon (then catch them all this summer). And I still had to see Skitty, and so i caught it, migrated it, etc. But DP is filled with Skitty just walking around in houses and the resort mansion... How couldnt i havent seen one yet when i even 'talked' to them? Can anyone make up a reason why this is like that or is it just silly :P?

no, actually you cant see skitty in the wild in DP. BUT: you see skitty in houses and stuff as a pet, you see its sprite walking around. but the pokedex doesnt count them as 'seen'... actually thats strange right? i mean; after seeing a picture of dialgo or palkia (the one that isnt in your version) your pokedex registers it as 'seen', but seeing a pokemon walking around in front of you, that the dex cant see.

You're right...that is weird! I never thought of it that way...

also, like in the tv show, ash whips out his pokedex at the battle tower...that's not right either...he gets to see all kinds of pokemon outside of battle.

That really is strange and had never thought of that either. Otherwise I would have registered Clefairy much earlier.

You don't get it, zant :/ He means that like when you see a pikachu or a torchic in somebody's house, like a plush doll or something, then it should be counted as "seen."
