Throughout the games, we've received our starter in a few different ways. We were flat-out given them from Professor Oak and Professor Elm in RBY and GSC respectively. We saved Birch from the Zigzagoon in RSE, and defended ourselves from Starly in DPP, where we then were given the Pokémon we chose by Birch or Rowan. B/W and B2/W2 took it in a different direction, and had our friends or the professor's assistant give it to us instead of receiving it from Juniper herself.
How would you like to receive your starter this generation? Would you like the new professor to be involved still, or would you prefer for someone else to give it to you? Any scenario you can think of that would be interesting to nab your starter?
