It would have a lot of surfing spots..and almost every town will be separated by seas. A bit rural and a bit industrialized.
Probably a very urban centre with increasingly rural outskirts. It'd be quite cool to have a Britain Region; start out in Lands End, head up through London and then across to Wales, travel through there to the coast, EPICLY MASSIVE WATER ROUTE, Ireland, EPICLY MASSIVE WATER ROUTE, Scotland and finally up to John O'Groats. Alternatively, have the other countries as sub regions post Elite 4 ala Sevii Isles.
Poland would be a bit dull region full of factories, forests (mostly pine) and, OF COURSE, wastelands, country, small villages and a lot of apple plantations.
I don't think my country would look good as a Pokemon region. It's not very curious in landscape.
We would have lots of Pidove everywhere, Miltank in country, Venipede & Caterpie, (Mostly in forests or small villages) some Duckletts and Pachirisu in parks and forests.
That actually sounds like it would make a really cool region. If I ever get Photoshop on my computer again I'll probably make a region map like that.
Anyhoo, here's something I found on Deviantart and I'm from England so...

As big as that looks, and as cool as it is, I could see it being very linear, and very bland.
Also, it really misuses Scotland. You could fit a couple towns or cities or a huge dungeon up there.
Also, I've been musing over the New England area as a Pokemon reigon, just as a hypothetical thing to toy with in my thoughts, and I could see Boston as some big-ass city, Rhode Island's weird islands as a Safari Zone, Springfield (MA) as a big amusement park place (ie; Six Flags New England), and Cape Cod as some post-E4 location. But that's just me.
Noob out.
EDIT: Oops, I forgot. You could have a shiny Lapras hide in that reigon's equivalent of Loch Ness.
