Howdy Y'all :D (Yes, I really say that...even irl)

I joined PC yesterday and was going to post my intro thread, but then my internet suddenly died...it seems to have revived itself overnight though, so on to my introduction!

So, first of all...I am terrible when it comes to things like this ^^;

My name is Chrissie. I live in Tennessee New York. I moved up here around Christmas time. It's soooo cold here. Where I lived before it was rare that it got below feeezing T_T I'm 19 years old, but I <3 Pokemon and probably always will. I don't think anyone is ever too old =]

I've been a fan since the original Blue and Red games. I had Blue first and picked Bulbasaur as my starter. Then I played Red, choosing Charmander. Since then I've played (and replayed) Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Ruby. I never played Crystal for some reason. Everyone says it was really good though and that I missed out on some cool stuff.

Currently I am playing Platinum, Heart Gold, and White all at the same time. There's so much content in every game now! With Nintendo popping out new Pokemon games willy-nilly I can't keep up...I think my head is going to explode x.X

I watch the anime too. Ash is going to be 10 years old forever it seems. I guess they can't really age him though since all of the girls he travels with are like, 10 years old anyway. The show would lose it's charm too if the main character was 30 years old, yeah?

Aside from everything Pokemon-related, I also like photography, animals (particularly reptiles), Scrabble, foreign people, and video games in general. I also like meeting new people and making friends! Hopefully I will do that here :D

Howdy miss New Yorker! ;D Trying to trick me, eh?? You have to be from Texas to be able to say that!! D:< You have your Boston cream pies and your statue of liberty, leave the "Howdy ya'll"s to us Texans. ;P

Anyways, welcome to the Pokecommunity, miss Chrissie! :3 Don't worry about the greeting, you did a fiiiine job~ :D (I dunno why people always worry about it~ ^^; )

And it's always nice to meet another veteran from the god ol days. :3 Back then, Bulbasaur was always my first starter. He kicked the first three Gym's butts, and that's all you really need to do to get the game going. XD Catch a Vulpix or something and Erika stood no chance! :D

And wow, took a hiatus from Pokemon shortly~? What is this Heartgold and Platinum you speak of, I only know of Black and White. XD; Seriously, Black and White are huuuuuge here, be sure to swing by our B/W section. :3

And the anime, apparantly only 8 months have passed since Ash left for his journey. "Hey mom, I'm gonna go collect all gym badges and beat the elite four!" "Okay honey, just be sure to be back before dinner!" At least the anime holds a few similarities with the games. XD

Ergh, I hate Internet deaths. D= ESPECIALLY WHEN IT REVIVES THEMSELVES; BECAUSE ITS LIKE SAYING: ladies and gentlemen! I'm a PC, and I'm dying, but windows 7 was MY idea, so I'm going to revive myself JUST TO TAKE THE CREDIT!

...Or I just don't understand them well. D=

At blue I chose Squirtle as my starter. :3 Blastoise is sooooo awesome; like, this was its moveset: Mimic, Surf, Blizzard and Hydro Pump. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MIMIC! It was like, the best move in the game, on where instead of the later games on where you'd have to wait until your opponent DOES a move, and then you copy that EXACT move, you can just choose a move that your opponent has, and VIOLA GODLY POWERS! You got that move. :3 So I spent all my time, coping Lance's Gyarados's Hyper Beam, thennnnn...kapow! There goes the neighborhood. :3 Crystal is also a pretty good game; in fact, it was the first pokemon game oon where there was pokemon animation. :3

...BUT BOY, HOW I HATED SEARCHING FOR ENTEI THERE. >O Waste of time. ;; Raikou was easier to find with me.

I'm playing White right now, putting all the other pokemon games that I have on hold, except for pokemon HG...occasionally. Its still pretty amazing. :3 About the anime: well, its more directed at kids, so that's why I THINK they let ash keep looking 10 years old, so that he might still appeal to kids? I don't know; that's what I was thinking.

Let me tell you something: MAN, HOW I LOVE A MEAN GAME OF SCRABBLE! :3 MY WORD SPELLING SKILLS ARE UNPARALLELED! Well, not really, I lose every time, except for one time during when I was at Jamaica. Its still a rockin' game though. :3

Now just for the sake of links around this forum, there's a Pokemon Anime board you can check out! "Are you a regular watcher of the Pokémon Anime and its Movies or just an old fan? Come here, and take part in all the various ongoing discussions about the Pokémon Anime." That's what the board says anyway, soooo if you wanna check that out, do what you'd like. :3

Anyhow, I didn't mind if it was lengthy; it t'was good. <3 DOn't be afraid to ask for help if you have a question or two; I'd be more than happy to help! And....yeah! Enjoy yourstay. :3

Welcome to PC and the frozen tundra that is New York. I should know. I spent most of my life there and went to North/South Carolina for college where I wish I still was

Good 'ol Blue version. Squirtle was my starter of choice, and I had loads of fun brutalizing all who stood in my way with Persian's Slash going critical every turn (something I miss dearly, the kitty just isn't the same without it...)

And Crystal was the first game you could play as a girl... which is what made it stand out for me. Right now, I'm playing through White and I have Leaf Green, Platinum, and Soul Silver at the ready. And you haven't played Leaf Green? That game is epic! Okay, maybe the game isn't epic but the female hero trainer in it is. She is IMO the best trainer design to date and I have a... slight... obsession with her (meaning I've had more signatures featuring her than I can count) xD

I... stopped watching the anime long ago... can't stand the characters on that show. They make me want to break stuff. See the girl in my signature? The one with the floral dress? She's my own trainer character and the anime would be much better if it starred her. At least in my opinion. (her name's Lisa, BTW)

I'm into anime, manga, videogames, (and here's where it gets weird) large American cars such as Buicks (hence my username) and the Quality Inn hotel chain. I'm allergic to animals but I find cats to be quite cute and I'd like one if I could.

Actually, yours was among the better welcomes I've seen. Most people do just a brief "Hi! I'm new to the site!" and I really can't reply to them all that well.

Hey there, Chrissie! Welcome to PokeCommunity, the best Pokemon fan forum on the net! It's okay if you have a lengthy introduction, I love reading them! ^_^ Glad to see you finally joined!~

We have a lot of older people who play Pokemon and are members here, like myself. But hey, we like Pokemon and we're proud of that. You should too. ;) I usually pick Bulbasaur during the R/B/Y days, but my favorite is Squirtle. I think you should play Crystal, in an emulator by any chance, because you will like it.

I would totally agree with you on the anime part. Ash will stay 10 forever. xD

Anyways, make sure you read the rules and the FAQ. They're highly important for you to read them, and most importantly, HAVE FUN! See ya around!
