Lotta Hating on victreebell, Sleep Powder + Sunny Day + Solar Beam makes he fairly decent. I used him with those moves since I got Sunny day in the goldenrod Radio Tower and have no complaints.

Eh, I had given up on my Weepinbell before the Radio Tower. Besides, I wasn't getting a Leaf Stone any time soon and I didn't want to move on to the Elite Four with a Pokemon that wasn't fully evolved.

What? Rival's got the idea, weak Pokemon are just dead weight. 3 pokes (in my case I've got ho-oh, lugia, and feraligatr) pretty much have the type coverage to hit just about everything in the game supereffectively (barring Spiritomb because it has no weakness anyways); the rest are just for decorating Bill's PC.

One decent electric type could destroy your whole team.

You can win a Leaf Stone in the Pokeathlon Dome on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday. ^^;

My Noctowl kept on getting KO'd on my HeartGold game. So after a while I put it in the box and gave my Golbat Fly. Problem solved. Lol. Made it even better when Golbat evolved.

Talking about the team I used to get through the game, not for competitive purposes rofl. I think the only electric Poke that I had to deal with was Red's Pikachu? Scarf Ho-oh was fast enough to pull an EQ on him and despite being 31 levels lower, Chu's defence is so bad it still rocked him.

My pidgeot fails for no apparent reason sometimes. I swear, more than half the time it misses with fly, a 90% accuracy move. Also, it seems to take pity on grass types, as it never OHKO's, despite serious level advantages, and a STABed powerful move. And it never, ever, for any reason dodges status affecting moves. Seriously, confuse ray, hypnosis or spore has never missed my pidgeot. I love it, but its so infuriating.

Also my Dragonair got pwned by an electrode 4 levels lower than it. It kept spamming charge beam, and it's special attack rose every single time it used the move. I, however was unable to hit with dragon rush, it missed. 5 times. While electrodes special attack went up. 5 times. In the end, I was pwned by several not very effective attacks. FML.

I agree with EJ, you guys must of not been trainig your Victreebel well. Mine is awesome! xD

Though in my LeafGreen playthrough, my Dragonair kinda fails.

my farfetch'd is pretty lame if i'm honest

My Glaceon fails. I've never seen anyone miss so many tackles >_<

I think the weakest link I have is my Skuntank (this applies to my DP game) I like him in the sense that he's good for wracking up toxic damage with the combination of Smokescreen.. but thats about all he's really good for, and if Toxic doesn't take hold, I'm kinda at a loss. He doesn't have too much power, doesn't take too much punishment. I'm already planning to replace him with a Koffing as soon as I can get my hands on one.

My Croconaw died with Whitney's Miltank's Rollout (2nd time)
But Flaaffy thought Miltank looks disgusting and 1HKO'ed Miltank with Headbutt (yeah, I wanted to teach my Flaaffy something...)

Once I read a guide about Skuntank in competitive play; the line I remember the most is "Explode (Explosion) when you are done."
On a personal note, I think he's not too bad, he was one of the first few Pokemon that I've used on my first DP playthrough, and I liked it, because it could learn Flamethrower (hahaha).

Whitney's Miltank always have 100% Attract conditions.

Onto the Pidgeot bashing, I decided to use Pidgeot on my first HG playthrough, and it wasn't able to take any hits, even from Pokemon several levels lower than it. Most notable contribution that it did was to kill a 33% HP Lance's Dragonite when I revived him wrongly..

My first HG playthrough was fail. Pidgeot failed, Kingdra (which had a -Def nature) failed as it couldn't tank attacks. I was surprised that I needed almost as much healing items as my bug challenge used.

Well when i started heartgold i figured i'd try out a different flyer considering ive used pidgey in like every game, so i tried zubat. the first 13 levels were HELL. His best attack in those levels was astonish. It couldn't even beat something 10 levels lower than it. Luckily at level 13 it learned bite so things got a bit easier, it still sucked though until it evolved in Golbat and then Crobat one level later, then it kicked ass.

I agree. I got rid of mine and got a Golbat too. Nowctowls suck.

I still don't understand why Pidgeot sucks? Are we playing the same game here? Pidgeot works wonders for me, what moves are you using for it?

My Pidgeot is useless. Gonna pick a different flyer for next playthrough...

Again how is it useless? Are you using tackle the whole game?

My Elekid at lv. 20 getting beat by Tentacruel over and over again. Blah need to evolve it.

For me, no Pokemon fails... It's just more of a challenge!^^ I trained a Clamperl till 100, it rocked, and I even trained a Spinda and an Unown (oh, and a Magikarp!^^)!^^ Sometimes, it was pretty hard (well, Unown rocked while I battled the first E4 and you can combine it good with Choice Specs!^^) but it all payed off at the end!^^ Magikarp sure was hard to train with only 5 bounces but now, it's a fierce Gyarados that pwnz everything!^^

My level 80 Slowbro... I think I'm going to get rid of it. It's too pathetic and I'm not really going to use a water-type, so it's probably going to be replaced by a Blissey or Forretress in the near future. Screw it, maybe I'll get a Steelix. I get the feeling I need to rework my entire team, and maybe make three or four teams.
