4th Gen How's the game affecting your real life?

    So, we're all playing the game way too much of course.. And so it must affect your real life. Post your experience here :)..

    Well, I for example was at my mom's place for the weekend and at one point walked down the street with my little brother. Then we saw that next to my mom's car there was exactly the same car but in a different colour! So I was like 'OMG! A shiny mom's car!!!'..

    Also, it was my birthday last week and we were watching some pictures of me and my brother and sister as babies.. At one point I got depressed and was thinking 'what if I'm the one with the bad IVs'...

    Wow! Those are hilarious! I just like to play the game when I am out shopping with my parents. < I was about to say game for parents.. uh ....

    You can't have bad IVs! IVs don't exist in RL! LOL

    I haven't had any effect from the game on my real life other than the fact that I'm spending about a quarter of each day just playing.
     
    all my friends are yelling at me for playing gameboy all day while they sit there and drink beer. personally i would rather play pokemon than get drunk... because while drunk it's a lot harder to play ;)

    one day i was drinking though, and we were heading back to my apartment, and i was sitting in the front seat playing pokemon. i musta passed out, as when we got back, i was like what? and i looked down and my starting guy was dead, hahaha. my friend was like "yeah you just passed out in the front while playing your dumb gameboy"

    awesome. all i do is work, and then got home and play till sleep, and repeat :D

    Haha, sounds like you gave yourself two options: 1) play Pokemon, or 2) get drunk and play Pokemon.

    I only have the first option (I don't like the taste of beer, and I find the alcoholic aftertaste in mojitos and tequila drinks kinda unnecessary. Maybe I just don't get it yet.

    I've been playing about 3 hours every morning and about 4 hours every night. So far, this is an awesome summer lol.
     
    man, good thing i actually have work, if it was the summer for me, i would never ever, ever, stop playing :P a break every now and then does me good ^_^

    and yes, beer is icky, takes some forcing to get to be able to drink it :P

    i've been playing nonstop for the past 2 days trying only to get a magmarizer, how annoying. hopefully i can get it and return to playing the game and leveling up my team, since i just found a bunch of new challengers by joining this board :D
     
    When I am not playing pokemon I should be studying .Net Framework languages like C# and Visual Basic, along working on the occasional application that get handed my way so I can actually pay the rent x.x


    In short, if I had no self control (thankfuly i have a smidgen...) I would be living on the street eating at soup kitchens and stealing wifi from wherever I could get it in very short order if I let myself play pokemon as much as I 'want'.

    It's very mentally addictive for me :P This board only magnifies its addictive properties by the prospect of constant trades and battles.

    Geography

    When I was in geography class a couple of weeks ago we had to do a project on the rain forest and draw the animals of the rain forest.
    Well my friend (who plays pokemon non stop and watches the cartoons) was sitting drawing a Venasaur not realising as he was kinda drousy. Then our teacher called him and he shouted "WABAFETT!!!"
     
    It's given me a lot more self-confidence. If someone disrespects me, I thwomp them in battle. XDD
     
    Sadly I just got the game in the midst of finals week at my university and I hate to say I've been neglecting studying and playing instead haha.

    And I've been bringing my ds to my biology lecture instead of taking notes and paying attention and thanks to that I nearly failed the last exam >_<
     
    i get a little angry when i can't find people to battle.

    it's SO HARD to find people to battle. other than that, i'm on summer vacation and it's way too damn hot right now.
     
    When I play pokemon I am happy. I have a busy schedule and when I am playing pokemon is my time to relax. Also, there is a "pokemon circle" after school and we all play pokemon together. You get to meet new people and become friends with them ;D
     
    since getting the games, I havent been able to put them down. I play them in Concert band, I play in Maths, and I play during lunch...lol...
    I also havent been getting any sleep .... well, as much as usual, but I'm okay with that :)
     
    I can't stop thinking about it. I'll get it today or this weekend, but I can't stop thinking about it. Two of my friends have Diamond and Pearl and I have neither. They want to trade with me so bad and I want to trade with them! The waiting is killing me!

    ...This is officially the funniest thread in the D/P section.

    All I've had to deal with has been not paying attention to much other than playing the game...oh, and a bit of downtime from this forum on the 22nd & 23rd. I guess I'm lucky that I got a vacation shortly after it came out ;) .
