    Hi guys!

I am going to be jumping back in to OR soon whilst also playing Yo-Kai however I am looking to build a good team to battle online (I don't have much experience battling other people) is it worth having a Pokemon of 3 different types - water, fire, electric? Also shiny hunting do I go looking for pokemon the same as I always would and it glitters if it's a shiny?

For VGC, best thing to do is to check out the information on this website: www.nuggetbridge.com as they're the experts in that metagame. Smogon's strategy dex will help you out too. For shiny Pokémon yeah it's the same although it's theorized that dexnav and Pokémon in the sky have a higher shiny rate. The general shiny rate is also halved this gen so that makes things a lot easier.

Also for battling, try Pokémon Showdown, it'll help you improve in terms of skills.

It´s always good to have Pokemon of different types, so that they don´t share the same weaknesses. If you combine the right items and abilities, it´s easier to win. You should have at least on Pokemon with the right Megastone for the Mega Evolution. (You can activate only one Mega Evolution per battle.)

For example you have Gyarados and the opponent wants to use an electric move. If you now switch a Pokemon with Volt Absorb, the Special Attack of the Volt Absorb Pokemon rises plus both of your Pokemon are unharmed.
