Don't you watch the anime? Ash's Pikachu wins EVERYTHING. Then it gets owned by Magikarp in DP. In my opinion, Magikarp had mercy on it. He could've easily snapped that rat's spine. And Sparky... I just don't like him.

Yes, I have watched it but come on its not Pikachus fault he doesn't decide what happens now does he? If anything blame the writers not Pikachu he's just an animated puppet who is being controlled to do what the writers/animators tell him to do.
