    I know its completely ridiculous, but would anyone have any suggestions on the best way to train Skitty so she could be *passable* in battle, and what the best moveset for her would be. I don't know anything about EV training and all that business, so I would need some explanation for that...

    That's the thing, Skitty isn't *passable* in battle, because she is so horrendously crap, get a better pokemon, or don't competitively battle as you will loose a lot.
     
    I'm not looking to competitively battle, just battle in the game. I probably would never be able to do well in competitive battle against real people without Skitty because I don't do any special training. I've done the best in this game with all values only because I was lucky and caught pokerus.

    -Thunderwave/Sing/Heal Bell
     
    I think heal bell is th ebest option, it realy is cute and cool, but it IS quite weak and will cost you a lot in hyper potions otherwise.
     
    If you could evolve your Skitty to a Delcatty...well being a Skitty User myself (well more of a Delcatty) I think this is the Best Moveset: (I sugest it's your own game, you choose Skitty's moveset)

    An Attacking Skitty
    Skitty @ Focus band
    Trait: Cute Charm
    -Assist
    -Double Edge
    -Facade
    -Wish

    Skitty is easily Knocked out so I place Focus Band There
    Assist, Double Edge, Facade for Attacking Reason Wish for Healing Reason

    Defending Skitty
    Skitty @ Leftovers
    Trait: Cute Charm
    -Shockwave
    -HealBell
    -Wish
    -Iron Tail

    Skitty is Defending isn't it?
    Shock wave and Iron TAil for Defending reason, Wish and Healbell for assisting reason
    either way...it's your choice
     
    What about Focus Sash? It has a 100% chance of surviving if the Pokemon has full health.
