    ....it is just temporary?

Hello , I forgot to introduce myself! (skip introduction if you don't care , but I think it is required in order to understand my problem better)

    INTRODUCTION

I am (insert name here) and just started playing OR (I plan to buy AS in a few days however). I started playing pokemon when I was 11 (pokemon yellow and red) then got gold at 13 and stopped (you know , it is the age where you are forced to stop pokemon). It was just the times where I was an innocent, "filthy casual" kid , with only legendaries or starters on his team , who never had idea about competitive EV's and IV's and other stuff which you are obliged to master these days in order to survive.

Now , I am 25 and started playing pokemon again , via emulators first. I really enjoyed playing fire red because it has features I knew already from the good old GenI times (Kanto , for instance). One of my internet friends , introduced me to a mod (I am not sure if I can post its name here) that was actually FR/LF and Emerald combined. The cool thing was that you could play online with others , I mean , see them actually walking in the overworld map , and other stuff too. That was also my first step into Hoenn GenIII pokes, but soon I got bored quickly because that mod had silly restrictions and other stuff , plus that my team-buddies had gone inactive for ages. Anyway , believe me or not , this silly internet mod made me buy the real thing some weeks later: one 3DS XL and a game card of OR from ebay!

    MAIN THEME

After some weeks playing OR (sorry , I never speedrun pokemon , except severe circumstances, I delayed because I went EV training my main poke's or collecting secret base flags , or just re-running the most of the already-known Hoenn , just for berries or some breeding or grinding or PokeDex hunting ) , I finally finished the storyline . And when I say I finished it , I mean I am in the point where I just took the Level Release thing for Super Secret bases....

....and here is the problem , when I started battling secret base people with the Level Release on ..... oh , that's the pain. One level 100 Palkia swept my whole team consisted of 2 lvl 100 and other 4 from 91 to 93 , and when I said swept , I mean OHKO at most of times , always went first.

So , yes , I raged so much after this (worse than receiving those poor Zigs from WT, although I know that people do it for PokeMile farming)

So , to conclude , if you were me what would you do:

    1) Rage and go crying in a specific forum , explaining this s@@@? (that's what I do right now in my opinion, it may sound childish but I really want help, I never consider myself a noob to all this stuff, since I understand the most of the mechanics now)

    2) Go all my poke's level 100 first and retry fight them? (More fair , since I am equal level , but still I have doubts about this , because of the imbalanced tiers , they use uber legendaries , I just use THE POKEMON I CATCH FIRST in my journey , in order not to be characterized as "another legendary/uber guy")

    3) Just calm down and IGNORE them , since they don't represent the actual competitive scene? (Fair enough?)

    4) Keep level release thing disabled for them , but keep it enabled for regular grunts who have set teams, for easier grinding? (but this may cause the opposite problem , the "too ez for me" which I hate it too)

I am so frustrated , what's your opinion guys?

And sorry for the long post , I just separated in order to read easier.

I apologise also of my english being not my first language.

    Thank you!

    I'd go for

    3) Just calm down and IGNORE them , since they don't represent the actual competitive scene? (Fair enough?)

Reason being: even if you do manage to beat this trainer's Palkia, they've probably got a level 100 Dialga waiting in the wings. And after that? Giratina, no doubt. Granted, you never know that for sure until you try, so you could always just keep on grinding and try try again. I'd say though if you do manage to beat the Palkia, and it turns out they have another level 100 Uber tier legendary, all hope is lost unless you make your own team of level 100 legendaries :P

I'd just chalk this up to the fact that that's just the reality of Secret Base trainer battles: there's no restrictions, and you go into each battle completely unaware of what they have on their team.

Well, I just mentioned Palkia as an example, they could have any uber/legendary you want.

Secondly, I didn't mention my team on my first post on purpose , because I think it doesn't matter as long as I don't use uber pokes like a "noob" ( I am , however, aware of base stats per poke and that's actually creates the tiers, but come on, I find it more correct and challenging to stick with your own beloved comrades to the end)...unless I change the pokemon to something else from same tier of course or learn them better moves, provided that I am always with my 2 field and sea slaves. (Linoone and sharpedo master race :D). And of course, all my pokes are already ev trained as desired.

Speaking about your opinion, I had that kind of question from the beginning: I mean, when I go and try online battling one day , are tiers and other rules from battle simulators applied?

Ignore it, but then again do you not want to get all your Pokemon to 100?

Google Blissey bases and then you might reconsider levelling to 100 as its dead easy with those.

Haha , Blissey :D , funny thing is that I used her in the internet mod game , I consider catch it one day in case I need a wall ... but it has poor Defense and cannot poison steel type pokes (toxic is a signature move for every wall?) , so Blissey is pretty useless against steel type ones (but maybe it was blissey's moveset not "updated" to this gen? It only learned Ice Beam , Toxic , Recover and Light Screen :O)

Ive never played with them honestly but as I said look up 'Blissey bases' on google and itll make levelling to 100 a doddle.

Sticking with your own beloved comrades is definitely the funner way to play, imo. But at the same time, there's sadly some opponents that your team of comrades just isn't going to be able to overcome -_- This isn't normally a problem in standard play because there's a level cap on in-game NPCs, so you'll always be able to beat them by out-leveling them given enough grinding. But Secret Base trainers are a different story, so you can't expect to beat every single one you come across without making any modifications to your team.

If you do decide to change up your team though, I'd also recommend Blissey. Because even though it has a few vulnerabilities, like you pointed out, it's at least a good addition to your team and it's actually effective at whittling away a powerful opponent's HP thanks to Toxic. If you find yourself up against a strong physical attacker, just switch it out for something that's capable of taking the hits (such as Slowbro or Steelix).
