Some members of this team look like they could work well with the rest of the group, but I can't really see this team doing well in 1 on 1 fights. Seems like too many members of this team have commonly used weaknesses, Crosschop, Earthquake and Rock Throw, just to name a few.

    Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band ** ...
    Trait: Sand Stream
    EVs: 28 HP / 252 Atk / 228 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Earthquake
    - Focus Punch
    - Hidden Power [Bug]
    - Rock Slide

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Tyranitar 4X weak to fighting moves? Even without fighting a Fighting oponent, you leave yourself open to any number of the levitating PM. Rock slide looks good, but what trainer useing a flying time isn't expecting this kind of attack?

    Cloyster (M) @ Leftovers ** ...
    Trait: Shell Armor
    EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SAtk
    Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
    - Explosion
    - Ice Beam
    - Rapid Spin
    - Spikes

Looks nice, but I don't see anybody purposely attacking a Cloyster with physical attacks. Cloyster wasn't impressive back in RBY and it doesn't look like it's gotten any better today. Adding Explosion to the list just seems like your expecting it to go down fast.

    Zapdos @ Leftovers ** ...
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 252 HP / 36 Spd / 100 SAtk / 120 SDef
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Hidden Power [Grass]
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk
    - Thunder

Been there, done that and I ain't going back. Fantastic suprize from Hidden Power though. Zapdos was an older favorite of mine but it really is limmited in use.

    Swampert (F) @ Leftovers ** ...
    Trait: Torrent
    EVs: 240 HP / 16 Atk / 116 Def / 136 SAtk
    Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
    - Curse
    - Earthquake
    - Ice Beam
    - Rest

Have a Swampert on my Team. I sacraficed Speed to raise Special Defence and I make use of it's Mirror Coat birth right. Not as defencive as Suicune, but it's STABed Earthquake and Surf can clear the field quickly. Given Earthquakes nasty effect on your tag team I'm guessing you use Zapdos in combination, dissabling this move if Zapdos is taken out unless you plan on beating yourself. I do agree that he does look cool though and Grass is not really that common.

    Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers ** ...
    Trait: Thick Fat
    EVs: 76 HP / 176 Atk / 136 Def / 120 SDef
    Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
    - Double-Edge
    - Earthquake
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk

    Not a Subpuncher?

    Gengar (M) @ Leftovers ** ...
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 136 Atk / 180 Spd / 192 SAtk
    Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
    - Explosion
    - Hypnosis
    - Ice Punch
    - Thunderbolt

Eh, does Exploud learn anything good that works on Gengars still apearant weaknesses? Again, having a sacrafice within your team does not inspire much confidence.

How do you even expect to stand up to anybody if you openly announce everything about your PM have? Your greatest competitor would be Zapdos and that's only because of it's Hidden Power's effect, it's Speed and it's Special Attack ratings.

About Tyranitar's 4X weakness. Yes, it's Fighting type.

That is what good competitive battlers call 'switching out'. A sure sign of a noob is one who keep their Poke in against a weakness, hoping that somehow it will survive. Don't underestimate how much damage a CBtar can do on the switch.

    Cloyster (M) @ Leftovers ** ...
    Trait: Shell Armor
    EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SAtk
    Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
    - Explosion

This is also something good battlers refer to as 'switching in'. A good battler typically knows the tendencies of the Pokes that they face. Therefore they can predict what move is going to happen. If I have a physically weak Poke and my opponent has a physically strong one, I am going to switch in a stud like Cloyster, that can absorb the physical attack, laugh at the minimal damage it took, and then set up Spikes if the opponent is too stupid to switch, switch in something else myself, or go BOOM on something else they switch in. You also underestimate the effective Cloyster can have.

    Zapdos @ Leftovers ** ...
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 252 HP / 36 Spd / 100 SAtk / 120 SDef
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

HP [Grass] is no surprise. It should be expected. Stalkerdos is FAR from limited.

Mirror Coat has nothing on Curse. A Cursed EQ does tremendous damage to most Pokes, even those with resistances. IB handles immunities on the switch.

    - Sleep Talk

    Not a Subpuncher?

No, not a SubPuncher. Stalkerlax abuses Rest to keeps it HP full, while Sleep Talk allows it to still do damage. If you have had to face one of these, you would understand why SubPunchlax is lol compared to it.

    Gengar (M) @ Leftovers ** ...
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 136 Atk / 180 Spd / 192 SAtk
    Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)

    - Hypnosis

Who seriously uses Exploud? Anyway, with Gar's speed, it puts things to sleep, it does damage across the board with BoltBeam....err BoltPunch, and it goes BOOM when it is weak. Nasty buggah.

There is a HUGE difference between battling the AI and battling against someone good. There are few surprises. Just prediction and good strategy.

  • 'Accusations'? Hardly, it was just an observation based on the fact that shanecdavis seems to be the person on here who knows the most about building a team and what changes to make.

This is why you have 45 posts. You weren't here when I was around. I left for a bit.

Btw you have a huge heracross weak.

I played against a Stalkercross and a CBcross against some decent players and I handled Hera fine. Kinda funny as I don't really Pokemon anymore lol.

Thanks for explaining to him why I had the things I did. It's getting to be a waste of my time explaining to noobs why things work in competitive play and why things don't. That is pretty much the reason I left in the first place for awhile.
