Try to get your Charmander up to level 16. Then he should evolve to Charmelon. Use ember on Brock?s Pokemon. That attack is more effective on his Pokemon.

Okay. You can also train a charmander in Viridian Forest. There are som Metapods on level 4 to 6 there.
