How would I go about getting one with hidden power flying?

Can you teach me to use the calculator please x]

I also get confused with the serebii calculator. I would suggest using the Legendary Pokemon or Psypoke IV calculator. They are a lot more user-friendly.

A Gyarados won't use Hidden Power flying. His best moveset is Aqua Tail, Ice Fang, Earthquake and Dragon Dance. It is very effective, I use it all the time.

Give him an EV spread of 252 Atk, 252 Spe and 4 HP.

Would you mind cloning one of those karps and trading it to me?

    No.
I'm actually planning on getting both for Christmas.
But I'm not sure, if it's worth it.
    Also.
Why wouldn't Hidden Power (Flying) be a good move for Gyarados?

There are just much better moves for Gyarados. HP Flying is just outclassed by other moves. The only things it really covers are Grass and Bug which can easily be covered by Ice Fang, which is also a lot easier to get and covers more.

Its worth it. Don't get both though, there is no point in getting both (besides wasting money).

Don't get both or don't even get it right now. Pokemon Platinum coming out next year spring I think and it is like Pokemon Emerald, Crystal, and yellow.

I think you should use Ice Beam(4000c at Mauville Game Corner) instead of Ice Fang, and Surf instead of Aqua Tail, i use those Moves almost on every Pokemon i have!

    O.o
Do you know how much better Gyarados' attack is than it's Sp. Attack? Especially after a DD! But replace Aqua Tail with Waterfall. Even 90 Accuracy is dodgy, and the flinchhax can come in handy. :P

    Don't get D/P, get Plat like I'm doing. :D

im gonna get platinum as well instead of d/p but the bad thing is plat will most definitely have things d/p doesnt so if i end up getting d/p afterwards i'll feel lyk things r missing
