4th Gen I have a problem with IV's...

Okay, I used the Serebii IV calculator (Diamond and Pearl) to check what kind of Hidden Power my Cyndaquil has. It never battled before, and it hatched from an egg. It SHOULD have Hidden Power Ice with a base power of 70 according to the calculator. However, after going through various battles, I found out its actually Hidden Power Grass.

Timid Nature
HP: 11
Attack: 5
Defense: 6
Sp. Attack: 6
Sp. Defense: 6
Speed: 6

Whats going on?

Also, It has the Pokerus, if that counts for anything. It probably doesn't though.

Did you check its IVs at lv 1 or give it rare candies first? I think the serebii calculator needs more lvs than that to really be accurate in giving you its IVs. That or maybe you just put the values in wrong? Sorry Im not much help, I normally just use a kecleon to find out my pokemon's hidden power

You will never be able to calculate IVs in Lv1. That's probably the case.
