    What IS Altering Cave???

    All i know about it is it has the same music as Mount Moon and all i can find is Zubats level 9-16.

    What is so special about it??

    don't double post.There already was a thread like this,the altering cave was supposed to be an event were you could catch certain pokemons after you traded with someone,but it didn't work.

    Simple questions next time please.

    Lalalalala...o_o;

    The Altering Cave, in the Japanese versions, allowed the players to capture Pokemon like Smeargle, Houndour, and other Johto Pokemon after and e-Card was scanned using the e-reader. During the translation into English or whatever language you would call this, Japan released Emerald and Coliseum, which also had the Pokemon that the Altering Cave had. So...NoA decided to kill off the e-Card thing for the Altering Cave. Which is what we have now: a huge empty cave with murderous Zubats.

    Actually according to this site, the whole "scan the cards to get Pokemon" thing is a compleate sham. I didn't know until I read it too (I was shocked too...).

    Bascially, in the game data, there are chances to get Jhoto Pokemon there, but the trigger for it is still unknown. It seems like Nintendo is going to make the Alternating Cave a compleate waste, since they still havn't done anything with it.

    Btw, according to that site, it says people started believing the cave works in conjunction with the e-card, after they mistaked the "Mysterious Card" given in the Joyspot for the "e-card" which is needed for the Reader. (I don't know how the heck a person can make mistakes like this, but yeah -_- rumors spring from the wierdest of places).
