I need help fast..please

Switch to a different browser, I guess. =\ I'm definitely not the expert on this subject, but I do know this doesn't go here.

I'm not an expert on this (at all); all I can offer is some very basic help.

If you're using XP, then you should install SP2. Besides the fact that it is necessary and is highly recommended, it has a very good pop blocker. I know for certain that it blocks the IE popups, so that should help you. I don't use AOL (I use Avant Browser, which has a popup blocker, along with XP SP2), so if that doesn't have a blocker (although I think it does), then switch to one that does.

You say that they've installed icons on your desktop. You may have some form of Spyware, run whatever program you usually use to deal with it (ex.: Ad-aware and Spybot). Be sure to update your definitions first!

Installing a another browser may not help the problem...

I suggest installing Service Pack 2, it will stop those meanie popups when you are not surfing the web or out of nowhere.

Umm those popups come up from internet explorer when i am browsing though aol

Umm and they only come up when i browse the internet...Umm are you sure the program will work haruka if so please post the link or pm me the link

Windows XP SP2 is a painless update and requires no backup (unless something goes worng...) *glomps Articuno*

https://microsoft.com/windowsxp or use Windows Update

Sticky thread at the top of computers will help. =3~~

Download the Google toolbar. It blocks all popups, and doesn't block you from going to the site like the Yahoo toolbar.

Or you could just not use Microsoft garbage.
Download Opera, or at the very least, Firefox.
That way, you get popup blocking, tabbing (mm..tabs) and in the case of Opera, a far superior rendering engine.

Uh-uh. Opera... ads. Evil. Firefox rocks. It's open-source too, I like o-s stuff XD

Lalalalala..Keygenerator means no ads.
Not that I'd know, of course XD
