i need help...i need cards tha can stop ALO and Mother Grizzly....Cards that hurt my opponent..i know a game breaking move would be cyber twin...and i can get that to work most of the time...but you see...my friend runs an ALO deck..with magic fisherman...and cards that come in the water structure...

    Mother Grizzly
    Legendary Fisherman
    A Legendary Ocean
Obelisk the Tormentor (Yes it is my enemy)
    Fenrir

and other water cards or cards that support water cards...i need help taking them down...my anti mother grizzly is right now "end of anubis"

Obelisk the Tormentor is not allowed to be played anywhere offical.

A lot of water monster involve the graveyard, so play Necerovalley with some Magic Reflectors, or just Gravekeepers all thogether.

Cursed Seal of Forbidden will stop A Legendary Ocean.

    Like I said before.

    Google is your best friend.

    Type: Trap
    Type:Counter

Discard 1 Spell Card from your hand to negate the activation and the effect of a Spell Card and destroy it. Your opponent cannot activate Spell Cards of the same name (including the Spell Card that is destroyed by this card's effect) during the rest of the Duel.

simply awesome! ehat pack is it from? and if you could, could you tell me how to stop the other cards?

NOTABLE THINGS MY OPPONENT DOES: Special Summons fenrir form his effect, he special summons it from it's graveyard,

He attacks with Obelisk when I already activated Waboku

    He uses Obelisk...

thanx for the help on ALO Zaikrio..i need more tips though

    Obelisk "cannot" be played.

    It's from Invasion of Chaos.

Necrovalley Negates Fenir summon and Mother Grizzly effect since they effect the graveyard.

And The Legendary Fisherman, without A Legendary Ocean, it's effect can't be used, which The Cursed Seal of the Forbidden negates.

You already asked this question in another thread. He can't summon Fenrir from the Graveyard.

You can still attack if Waboku is play, but no damage will be delt, and no mosters will be destroyed.
    :\

so...do you think gravekeeper deck will counter aqua? and is cursed seal of the forbidden one common?
It is a common and Gravekeepers may help.

...Actually, I looked this up a while back for a different reason and, as stupid as it sounds, Necrovalley does NOT (repeat, NOT) negate Mother Grizzly/Mystic Tomato/Shining Angel/etc.

Yet it negates other cards similar to it =/

Well, some monster removal cards can work also.

Like what? All of those searchers (and Sangan, believe it or not) are included in that.

I don't mean searchers. It does seem stupid.

Some cards effect the graveyard like Sinister Serpent but Necerovalley negares it, but not the searchers.

ALO decks either go Fenrir or focus on gravity bind/lvl 3 rampage until Daedulus is drawn. The relatively recent addition of Poison Draw Frog with its corresponding spiritual art is so deadly and makes water decks even stronger than before. The other thing that they need the most besides the ocean is that they often use more trap cards than any decks.

Royal Decree, Mobius and Dust Tornado are all helpful in destroying not only A Legendary Ocean, but gravity bind and water spiritual art quickly. Without the trap, Poison Draw Frog still provide card advantage but then it's greatly weakened and may even act as a potential 300 atk power faceup in attack mode (if they're desperate for the draw.) Mobius also benefits from A Legendary Ocean's effect should for some reason that it's not destroyed yet upon Mobius's summoning.

If you want a standard deck that isn't specialized in anti-water, then adding a heavier emphasis on destroying magic/trap should really help. If you want a specialized anti-water deck, then there's a trap (forgot name) that destroys all lvl 3 and below monster cards at the end of every turn, which is really fun and is the top notch card for annoying a water player. A Legendary Ocean will pretty much kill all of their own monster after every single turn, basically reducing your friend's only playable card to Fenrir. When you got your whole deck against 2-3 Fenrirs (as everything else will be destroyed at the end of that turn), it shouldn't be too bad.

Problem with Infinite Dismissal is that the MK3 still gets a free 1700 shot at your life point, and THEN it gets destroyed... some other junkie will also get a launch at you before they die. But it definitely stops any tributes most of the time.

Actually, there's still Terrorking Salmon which I forgot about, and it'll become 4 stars from 5 due to ALO which Infinite Dismissal can't do a thing about... so it's not as effective as you think, nor is it close to best. This does work for most ALO decks as they abuse Gravity Bind, meaning that they won't use lvl 5s like this. However, if your friend is using Fenrir, then maybe he's playing ALO-Beatdown and not really focusing on using lvl 4 (so lvl 3) monsters... I dunno, but it's worth considering about.
