I have a box of these packs of cards, which I got from a neighbor's family. They used to run a card store, but the dad passed away about twelve years ago. They gave me this box of cards, I have no idea what they are or if they are worth anything. I am not even sure if they are related to Pokemon. The packs are labeled "Alpha Card Game", they are from Korea, and each pack has 10 cards in it. It doesn't look like any have been opened. I am attaching a photo, there are five different colored packs in the box. Thanks for shedding any light on this for me!

They look like they are from Fossil, Gym Leader, Team Rocket, Jungle and Base series. I'm not totally sure about the top left or the bottom two but the other two look like they would belong to that series.

Hi there, and welcome to PokéCommunuty. It's great to have you with us!

Unfortunately, Pokémon Gaming Central houses only discussion related to games, and not trading cards. Due to that, I'll have to move this thread elsewhere—Pokémon Trading Card Game. I hope you don't mind!

    Thread moved.

Based on what I've found on the Pokemon TCG in Korea, I'm fairly certain these are counterfeit, as they look nothing like official Wizards of the Coast products, and Wizards of the Coast would have been the company that would have handled the release of any of the sets that would have used these particular graphics for a Korean release. Also, it looks like the print quality is awful on these. I have several official Wizards of the Coast Fossil card boxes from that era, and the graphics on the boxes I have are of a much higher quality than the ones in your picture.

Also, the whole 10PCS of Trading Game bit on the box reeks of a counterfeit to me. Improper grammar and all that. South Korea is much better with their English than Japan has ever been.

Also, for reference, here's what a Korean booster pack from 2003 looked like:

Notice the distinct lack of English other than in the copyright? The abundance of English in your mystery packages indicates that they're likely counterfeits.

TL;DR: I'm 90% certain what you have is a set of counterfeits. For the reasons outlined above.

Would it help if I opened a pack and took a photo of the cards that are inside as well?

I'm no expert on the languages, but are those cards in Japanese or Korean? They do look Japanese to me.
