Well if you have wireless internet, the use your connection settings page to connect to THAT access point.

If not, then you need to go to the store and buy a Nintendo Wifi Connector. KEEP IN MIND that they only have ones for Windows XP out so far. There isn't one of Vista yet.

at the menu(in diamond and pearl) select Nintendo WFC settings or whatever, select what option, and do all the setting up with wireless internet then it should test the connection etc then you should be good to go if it works, that needs to be done before you can play online without the usb
