3rd Gen I need help with my Pkmn Emerald!

Well, The problem is when I first played Pokemon Emerald on GBA SP, Everything was fine, and for the next 6 times I played, The clock didn't work.
Somebody please help me!

Did it say the internal battery has run dry or something? This ALWAYS occurs in my Ruby, time-based events work once (Lilycove lottery) but an exception:: Berry Planting, it doesnt work for me.

If it said that the internal battery has run dry, you need not worry about that. Just trade some pokemon from LG/FR and everything must be smooth sailing. I don't know if it doesn't work though.

It never came, It always simply said:
"The savefile will be loaded, The game can be played"

You have then most likely missed the message, perhaps as you were madly fingering your A button attempting to get into your game as quickly as humanly or inhumanly possible, you skipped past the message, because a dead internal battery is the only reason the clock would stop.

I just thought, even though these games are not terribly old, the internal battery could be going out. =C
thats kinda depressing.
