I need to make sure a card is real...

I've been getting cards from house cleaning lately, and among them are obvious fakes like Chinese cards and cards written in Arial. But there's a few that's been tripping me over.

Problem: "...is that a BW08 Promo Oshawott? Also various dumb generic cards"

Um, the HP is normal (HP 60), and it's not that incredibly fake cardboard and ink. It's also holofoil inside the picture background but not on the actual Oshawott, if that helps. The only thing that makes me suspicious is that the card's ink is significantly darker than the actual one. Is that something I should consider "fake"?

Problem 2: "Dafuq is wrong with you Linoone"

I have no idea what an E-reader code looks like (much less what it is) so I'm just assuming it's an e-reader code. Anywho it looks amazingly messy to me for a "barcode" so I have to make sure they're real. If you're wondering it's a Linoone, 70 HP, 38/109, mark is an 8-sided gem, and the only other thing I can tell you is that it's from the e-reader generation. ID: H-31-#

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'll link some pictures once I get an actual computer and scanner later today if you need to see the actual cards. And don't hesitate to close this if you think this is a stupid question ofc.

My only suspicion is that it's a totally deeper shade than every other Water type Pokémon card I've seen. And I have a Pansear card that seems to be darker red than any other Fire type card. That's my worry. And since it's a promo card, even if it's not of value or anything, it's much easier to be targeted by fake-o TCG factories in China simply because they're not of a regular generic deck.

So yeah, I'm comparing it to other cards I have.

    Yes, plenty.

The problem is that it's much darker and looks much smudged than the other cards I have. So I want to make sure it's real.

If it's darker and smudged, it's probably (not 100%) fake. Pokemon cards are generally made with quite a bit of precision and care - they're all the same thickness, they all have identical backs, so if one card is darker than the others then I can see it being pretty fake (This isn't definite though - it's hard to tell if a card is definitely fake without seeing it).

    Spoiler:

I don't know if you can tell, but the Oshawott card is much darker for me. It almost seems smudged but it's not.

edit: i don't even know anymore.

Compared to another BW08 Oshawott card, they both look exactly the same. I might be thinking too much into it, but it could be just the way they were printed. (Ex. Since the Oshawott uses darker colors in the picture, maybe some of those darker colors were printed to the background of the rest of the card, where Panpour has lighter colors so the card could have just been printed lighter) Just a thought. If I'm overthinking it, you have wasted a good minute or so haha

Okay thank you. It was crazy dark so I had some doubts.

    Again many thanks!
