I was wondering if the trick that involved using Skill Swap on Slaking then switching out the Pokemon, let's say, Shedinja, that received the Truant trait, leaving Slaking with, let's say, Wonder Guard, in a 2-on-2 battle. Does anybody have any info on this? I'd love to get some feedback.

Man, it feels good to post again after... a year? XD
    I've missed the forums. Ü

Umm... I'm not sure what you mean. What do you mean by "it's the only ability"? Could you please explain a bit more?

Yeah, you can't Skill Swap or Trace Wonderguard. Remember Sableye, he's got no weaknesses, so if he got Wonderguard swapped onto him, he'd be invincible unless someone skillswapped or phazed him out.

Oh, okay. But Shedinja was just an example. If any other Pokemon would do it, say a Starmie (which is better than Shedinja at Swapping anyway). Would Slaking then have Natural Cure then Starmie would have Truant even if Starmie were to be switched for another Pokemon?

That's basically what I meant. I just wanna get rid of Truant. Slaking is the uber non-uber.

Well, I'm pretty sure. I haven't tried it myself, but when you rebattle Norman in Emerald, he uses that strategy, and even if the Skill Swapper faints, the other poke keeps the swapped ability. So if he can do it, I'm pretty sure you can.

I've never had a rematch with Norman, but I wasn't aware that he could use Skill Swap... Does it become a 2-on-2 battle when he asks for a rematch? Or maybe it was always a 2-on-2 battle and I just forgot...

Whatever. I'm convinced that I can reuse that strategy. If the AI can do it, then so can we!

Anyway, Pkmn Breeder Jack, thanks a lot for the info.

Wow. And more new info comes into light! Thanks... err... Lati@s person!

    New possibilities are arising... <.<

Okay, so I've been pondering on what Pokemon and Ability would be best as Skill Swappers with Slacking. So far, I've got the following:

    Starmie (Natural Cure)
    Claydol (Levitate)
    Gengar (Levitate)
    Gardevoir (Synchronize)
    Alakazam (Synchronize)
    Grumpig (Thick Fat)
    Dusclops (Pressure)

Those are all the decent ones out there. It's interesting that I failed to notice that Shedinja couldn't learn Skill Swap in the first place... Whatever... <.<

Oh, and since there's only one TM for Skill Swap, I hope I make the right decision. I'm leaning towards Claydol, Gengar, Grumpig, and Dusclops, since they have more chances of surviving that one turn after Skill Swapping and receiving Truant. Help? Thanks. :D

Oh, and this is for a 2-on-2 team, if it hasn't been obvious enough. I may post the members of it later if I'm asked to. If not, I still need help in choosing a Swapper. Thanks again!
