As far as I know, many fandoms - Supernatural, Homestuck, Sherlock, Doctor Who, NCIS, etc, have fundraised more than $7K and we've managed to call out and get the help of Kim Rhodes' surgeon to work out money issues for Sashi. So please donate or signal boost this post.

I just wanna showcase it somewhere, and right now I can't blog because of the one a day rule, so I figured here might be a good place to post this. So yeah, sorry if this seems out of place or advertise-y, but I don't think it breaks any rules or anything.

Another forum (just one) I use managed to raise $22,000 AUD for someone's daughter with terminal cancer to live in comfort until she passed away.

I recently lost a relative to that, or something similar I don't know the symptoms sound the same, so I know how difficult it is to get treatment for it. So all I have to say about this is how amazing the things the internet can do when it's not just sat around laughing at cats all day.

I remember seeing something like that happen once, an active member of the forums daughter was diagnosed with cancer or something like that and the forum raised a load of money to help pay her treatment. And on a sister forum of it the forum raised a load of money for the family of members who passed away.

Ahh the wonders of the internet. A teacher of ours is suffering through lung cancer atm and we've been all doing our best to support him financially. If only I could start something like that, it would be a major help!
