But hey, everyone has their opinions. I hope this is the right board to post youtube videos for discussion? I'm new, after all.

Anyways, post Youtube videos randomly here.

For me, it started off funny and then it just got sad. And the clip makes the mother's laugh sound so evil. Kinda funny how he couldn't fit in the seat properly though.

HI! I'm new here! Is this that clip they showed on AFV? If so, I think I saw it and it was not funny. I am personally afraid of falling out of fair/ammusement park rides and I'd hate for people to laugh at a traumatizing experience like that!

It's funny at first but then its just sad. The question is why the kid was allowed on the ride in the first place. Most of the time, fat people are rejected from rides because of the assumption of having heart problems. And this won $10,000. Thw warped sense of humor people have. Granted, I'll laugh at cats throwing themselves into walls but this is not funny at all. In fact, how was this taped anyway?

    -_-

Everyone knows the entire basis for the show America's Funniest Home videos is laughing at people getting hurt, so why does this seem like such an odd thing to people?

It's too cruel. This is what one comment said:
Haha. The only thing keeping him from falling is his fat and man boobs.

I'd like to see that person experience that and then say something. He was literally hanging on for his life. And what's worse is his mother isn't even looking at him and just thinks he's scared.

I honestly thought it was very funny, take it as a twisted way of thinking if needed. It's simply "funny" because alot of stuff happens like this, its not the fact that hes fat thats funny, its cause he nearly fail out and all his mother, I'm guessing she is, just sat there while he was basically "loose" in his seat. That show is one of my favorites as well, I remember a clip of a little kid probably under the age of 5 being yanked around by a full grown German Shepherd. Everyone laughed, I laughed, it was simply "funny".

I usually actually find cruel humor amusing, but for some reason I didn't enjoy this. Well, I do find most fat kids funny but the fact that he could actually die and his mother finds no interest in that saddens me.

I remember last year this 4 year old fell face flat on Halloween and I laughed for an hour.

Haha, now, this is funny. ;)

Jester Girl, usually general video discussion is not permitted, as most of the time it doesn't lead to any meaningful discussion.

That said, I'll leave this open for the initial video, as long as the discussion remains serious and mature, but if others contribute videos to the thread, this shall be closed.

Thank you, I'll try and keep it like that.

sort of, I guess... it IS his own damn fault, after all...

To be fair, it's usually people's fault if their obese. Let's why it's okay to laugh at them. (:

Hey, for a person 160ibs+, I find that offensive >O
It is totally rude to laugh at people for being obese. Even just calling them fat proves that you are an ignorant son of a--- *Got to stay away from the flaming. Got to stay away from the flaming.*
Still, people get pleasure out of their pain. Do you honestly f-ing think that just because they are a considerable eating machine, that they don't have feelings too?
How do you freakin' feel when someone insults your flaw? Put yourself in the obese persons place for just a friggin moment when people are bashing for the obesity. Think real hard about it. If you are not as hard headed as I think you are, then you will know what it would feel like.
And if you don't, and think that obese people are nothing but garbage, it means you are an embarrassment to the human race.
Obese people = STILL PEOPLE. You probably think that just because they apparently don't look like the average person, that you should treat them like a worthless stick in the mud. Obese people are often kind people, easy to make friends with.
You are honestly going to say its okay to laugh at them? To someone who could probably be a good friend?
You should really think real f-ing hard about this.
And if you don't even have this in your mind for a second, disagreeing with this post that makes sense, then by god you are in for a word fight.

Well, I am out. Probably more material I could have used, but I will save it for when its needed.

    ~Madina Lake out.

PS: I don't care if the post is considered flaming. I AM JUST TRYING TO GET MY FRIGGIN' POINT THROUGH.

Jester Girl, No matter how you justify it teasing someone because they are fat is cruel. Would you enjoy being teased for being fat if you somehow gained a lot of weight? I doubt you would. It would do you a lot of good to remember the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you (Plain english: Treat others the way you would want to be treated)

I seriously did not read that whole post, it just looks like a vent post.

I doubt I care if you two think I'm a *****, but I thought those videos were funny. :) And yes, I have been made fun of one of my flaws (a disease) when I was younger, and yes, It is cruel.

For effs sake, you guys take things too seriously. It's not like I would go up to a kid and go "OMG HAHAHAA YOUR FAT". The videos are just god damn funny.

Perhaps, I'm just not used to a forum with people that take things like this too seriously. And I'm sorry that you're overweight, but it's not my problem.
Just because you were made fun of like that before does not give you the right to make fun of them though. As I recall in your post you said it was ok to make fun of them. It is not. I bet if I made fun of you right now you'd blow a gasket. You'd not take it as a joke either.

You are bound to be insulted for one or another in life so you might as well just get used to it.

Back to the topic though I will be honest and admit I did laugh at it the first time then it struck me that he was very scared As far as him nearly falling out though. I don't that would of been possible.

And besides wouldn't he or one of his family members had to of submitted that footage in the first place? If so then I would expect mixed feelings on the whole thing (some find it funny some find it terrible)
