I'm training a support Gardevoir as we speak and I acidently for got something. What I'm going to put as it's EVs. Personally, I really suck at calculating EVs. So a little help?

    Gardevoir @ Leftovers
    ???/???/???
    Modest [+Sp Atk, -Atk]
    Trace
    -Psychic
    -Focus Blast? Thunderbolt?
    -Thunder Wave
    -Will-O-Wisp

    252 Atk/ 228 HP/ 28 Defense

I figured out these, but I'm just wondering what would be the best.

Give Gardevoir a Salac Berry. It can dual wall with WoW. Then it can be a fairly good Special Sweeper.

    252 SATK/172 SDEF/80 DEF

Thunderbolt over Focus Blast. I prefer Wish over Thunder Wave, in case you want some health support, otherwise it works too. EV spread: 252 HP / 142 Def / 32 Spd / 84 Sp.Def

Wow, I love this idea. Can I kill out Thunderwave then? What move should I replace it with?

Thunder Wave gives it speed if you want it to sweep. WoW for walling purposes.

All right, Thanks a bunch guys.

    I love it.

So do I. It looks like it can serve a lot of purposes. Maybe wish support would help it last longer.

Dude, your not alone. I'm not that great with EV's myself. I'm not so sure that trace is a vey good trait. If you come face to face with a Slaking or pokemon with Lightning Rod, for instence, then your screwed. Then again, it could help when you battle a Blissey with Serene Grace or a Milotic or a Dugtrio.

Trace is a much better choice than Synchronize.

Especially considering the moveset you gave it, so yes, use trace.

Well, the idea I've had for my Gardevoir was something like this:

Timid nature (-Attack, +Speed, needs a bit of extra speed)
    Psychic
    Thunderbolt
    Light Screen
    Reflect
    w/Leftovers
Covers defenses well, with the additional speed from its nature getting Reflect up in time to cover its relatively weak physical defense well enough. Plus, if KOd, the next battler should be able to take advantage of the pseudo-passed barrier moves.

My moveset, however, is not something I've seen elsewhere though. The standard set for Gardevoir usually tends to revolve around Calm Mind.

Gardy is better with WoW rather than reflect, and CM for light screen. Youer set is novelty, but it could certainly work. That would surprise many players. I still like that moveset posted earlier the best. Yours wasn't bad though.
