I think an old Hobby is going down the drain..

Lol, I know how your feeling. Sort of.

At the moment I have no desire to play my games...I just read the manga, and wish I could do cool things like that.

The thing is, I like the games, I just don't wanna play them...

So yeah, you go through phases. A couple of my friends have just suddenly gone obsessed. It's weird.

But then again, pokemon's the game that nobody admits to playing it except on rare occasions, when someone else did it first. Then suddenly everyone's an expert. :P

I go in an out of pokemon more than anyone i have not really played my games in easily a month or watched the show the only reason im here is cause facebook is boring and im curious about the gen V pokes

Oh man ...
I have also been playing Pokemon since 2003 (insert Sapphire here). I was MAD about my GBA, about the boxart of Pokemon Sapphire and everything surrounding it. I cringed at every wild battle out of excitement. My Blaziken was Lv. 81 when I reached the league. To call me mad, using Double Kick on a Xatu actually brought it to 0.5/2 HP. That's how far I ventured ...
FRLG were announced. I accidentaly saw a poster in the Bucharest centre (wow, quite a wonder, there are no game posters anymore O_O) : Pokemon FRLG Versions. Experience Pokemon as never before ... 2004.
... ... When it came out I bought it and played it. I fell in love with it again, but by the end of 2005 ... it all started draining . It started again when a friend of the fencing team was playing Pokemon Pearl. I bought a fake version of it, then played it until it broke. This was all happening in late 2008.
Then, in July 2009 I found Pt. hid behind a DS Lite in a shop. It was at an outstanding 40 Euros, I had to beg my dad for it. He bought it and played it until HGSS...
So, sorta this : late 2003-late 2005-Pokemon Break-early 2008- late 2008-July 2009-still playing Pokemon-feeling a third drift-off at the end of this year.

Thanks to anyone who actually reads this ... :)

I know how you feel as I went through the same thing. Now I can't stand to watch the series at all, but I do like to keep up with the news about the anime :3 I bought Platinum over a year ago and I still haven't finished it. I haven't had the urge to because it feels as my mojo for Pokemon has left. Then came when my friend brought me her emerald to finish for her and it sparked back up again. I noticed that I had become so much better at training Pokemon from the time I started when I recieved Silver at the age of 4. It truely is hard to find lovers of Pokemon now as I'm a student in high school. I've found a few, some that are even guys, but I haven't had much luck in finding other girls who still play it. Some that I have think I'm an addict since I have D/P/Pt :/ but that's just them....you just got to get out there and find others or take a break from it for a little bit as thats what I did. Then again try playing an older one to bring back the fun memories. Its pity to see so many younger kids into Pokemon and don't really know the true meaning from starting out with GB...*sighs*
