I think I have a Venusaur Error Card...

Okay, so, I've just been sorting through all my Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards ready for selling when I came across a Venusaur which my sister gave me in a booster back years ago! - This is how I know the card is genuine.

The card is pretty much normal except for a strip of masking or scotch tape or something on the top-left corner which runs for 3/4 in width, and 1/4 in length across the card. This was already there when I opened the packet!

I would really like to sell this card, and hopefully make some money!

Please advise on what you think its worth or whatever.

It seems legit, but is most likely a one-of result of a mishap while cutting the card off of the card sheet. Probably not gonna be worth much.

Lol wut?? Weird. Is the card printed over top of the tape, or is the tape clear and you can see the card underneath? If the tape is clear then it's just a card with tape on it, and I'm afraid no one will value it.

The card was printed with the tape underneath...

I think It may have been at 'the end of the line' and the masking tape was on the white card before any ink went on...

That's why the holofoil isn't on the tape... If the tape was stuck on after, it would show the holofoil through, and also be shiny its self.

When I actually feel the card I can feel the texture of the ink on the tape....

It was probably damaged in a manufacturing mishap of sorts, then. All early foil cards have a layer like this that resembles tape. I know this because I've damaged a few foils unintentionally and seen this part of them. Probably not gonna be worth much because it'll be perceived as physical damage to the card, most likely.

What a strange card! I've never seen one before, so I have no idea what to tell you in terms of price. That's pretty cool though.

I agree too. I don't even know how to play the TCG so I definitely don't know anything about price, but if I had the card I would definitely keep it. Unless you have like fifty of these, I suggest keeping it as a...I don't know, rare card?

Yeah, it starts at the edge of the left side and goes almost to the other side. It doesn't run that far down the card, but yeah.

It is pretty cool, I might just hang onto it, but I really want to find out how much its worth. Hehe.
