    Hi guys,

A few friends that collect Pokemon (and other TCG) and me want to make a catalog of ALL CARDS, one where you could also mark the cards you have on so people could exchange. What do you think?
We are working on it and already have more than 8,000 cards on it.

You mean every card, like from baseset to legendary treasures. All i got to say is good luck :)

Well, eventually, yeah :) but also from different games, different TCGs, and with wish lists, trade lists, collection lists...

Aw, man I didn't see the replies..

    Wells -

It's not an app, it's a website. It's meant for all TCG CCG, for now we have Pokemon (8,000 plus cards), MTG (21,000 plus cards) a little bit of Yu-Gi-Oh and LOTR and others where we don't have as much cards.

It is a daunting task... but I think like Wikipedia, as people join and give some card info and correct info, we can make it eventually.

You can see what we've done so far on the TCG category on Colnect

Sounds like a good idea but a daunting task! I have trouble keeping up to date with all my pokemon cards as it is! I have them all in order of release, oldest set to newest set for Kanto and Unova cards and am currently trying to complete the legendary treasures set... failing miserably at the moment though :/
Once I have my whole collection sorted (Johto sets are taking ages then I still have Hoenn and Sinnoh to sort...) I wouldn't mind helping out with some facts and figures as most of mine are full sets ^^

Awesome! I'll send you a message then

I have most of the later sets and know a fair bit about the older sets despite not having many of the cards (although my definition of "not having many" is a bit different than most people's - I probably have about half of the cards from the first 4 sets). I also don't have a high DPI scanner.

I also have a fair few MTG cards from the Alara block.

You'd have to be watchful if you're using a Wikipedia like user-edited format, though, as people may very well add in their own fakes just to convince people the fake they are trying to pawn off is legitimate.

There are plenty of nearly complete Pokemon card databases around, but none that allow cataloging to my knowledge. TCGPlayer might have a database that allows cataloging that you'd be directly competing with, but I never go there so I can't say for certain if they do.

We'll be happy to get help, if you're willing :D

Well, that's why we have editors that need to approve everything before it goes on the site. It's not as crazy as Wikipedia where there is so much information from different subjects that'll be impossible to follow or correct the catalog when needed.
