4th Gen I want to play with my friend

    Hey guys, me and my friend have 2 DS's. He has a DSi and I have a DS lite. He has a copy of Pokemon Pearl and I have one of Pokemon HG and we want to battle against each other.

    Is there some sort of wire we have to use to connect to each other? Wifi doesn't work on either of our DS's, so I'm not connected. What can I do for us to trade with eachother and battle with eachother?

    Something step by step would be much appriciated. :D
     
    I'm pretty sure you guys can connect to each through local signal (not sure the official name). But you just basically both go to the upstairs of the pokemon center and talk to the lady in the middle. I think it's called the Union room. And in there you can trade and battle each other, although in battles, your pokes can't be automatically leveled to 100

    @ mrkman55, it's actually called the Wireless Connection when connecting two DS' without the use of Wi-Fi. n_n;
