I want to save more than 1 character in Emerald

I haven't made a Rom hack ever. Id like to add new playable characters that give to the world building a little more and add storyline to make the game a little more exciting too. Is something like that possible?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. But an alternative to this is that you can replace the playable characters (Brandon and May) with your own, and import Brandon and May somewhere else, as non-playable characters. But this too requires you to change every sprite of the two original characters, including OW sprites and in-battle ones with your own made characters.

This may be a bit hard in the beginning, but I guess this is the best way to do it.

Why? Well the obvious first problem is that there's only one data structure for the player's party, Pokédex, bag, PC storage, …
